Happy midweek! Today, I’m providing my latest vintage ephemera journaling papers printables. Today I really mixed up the design and since it is late summer, I didn’t want to miss a sea themed set of printables for you. I had some of these images in my vintage digital clip art stash for years…and a week or so ago, the inspiration for these designs clicked! I went with subtle images and muted colors for these printables and thought they might work with other digital papers or scrapbook pages you might have.

I designed these images in Photoshop CC which is an awesome photo editing program and can handle these large image files quite easily and all the layering. I also designed the sea objects repeat pattern as well.

Note: The jpegs for these files will be rather hefty averaging at the largest 5 MB . Your printing results will vary depending on the type of printer you have and the type of printer paper that you use. You can always take them to the nearest Office Depot or Staples (here in the US) to get higher quality printing if you are using these for a special journaling project.

I hope this freebie inspires you in your crafting, art journaling, junk journaling and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie. I have been watching a lot of junk journaling videos on Youtube to get an idea on what types of papers might interest you and other junk journalers. This was inspired by a few sea or beach themed crafting videos I had watched on Youtube and the fact that I remembered that some of my favorite seafaring vintage movies are Captain Blood and Lady Hamilton. I actually watched this movie again for the umpteenth time this weekend!

That little exposure to movies and vid tuts about the sea spurred the creation of these designs. I am always excited to develop new ideas for tags and now papers with a vintage ephemera theme for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting uses.

If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from vintage Photoshop brushes (many that I have designed), vintage ledger script entries, vintage sea clip art, papers that I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s! I particularly liked the “sentimental” poem, “Happenings” I found in a book published in the late 1800s, I hope you enjoy reading it!

As for the details about the freebie, there are 4 junk journaling pages in this blog post printables offer. You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks, junk journals or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has four journaling pages at 8.5″ by 11″, stay tuned for the add-ons I will be posting in the near future. These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp. They can be used in either the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut digital cutters to cut them out or you can use scissors and a slide cutter.

The materials I used were vintage ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

Materials Needed

*White cardstock, Southmore 25% Cotton paper or white sticker paper, depending on your final use.

*Vintage inks, such as Tim Holtz Distress Inkpads, to give the edges a worn, tinted or aged look, if that is your preference. This process takes off the white edge of the journaling cards and journaling spots, if you are using them for junk journaling and gives the paper a subtle, aged and worn look. With these inks you control the amount of tinting and color you prefer on your edges.

*Scissors or slide cutter

*Photo editing software (i.e., Photoshop Elements) for jpeg files or Silhouette or other digital cutters. You can also resize the printables easily in a basic Powerpoint program, Windows or MAC.

How to Use this Seaside Journaling Papers Printable

Print and cut out the papers and use them as pages for your junk journals, traveler’s notebooks and other planners.
Resize and create tags or pockets for your journals or planners. Watermark is removed on actual downloads.

Free Vintage Inspired Monthly Planner Inserts Printable

Hello peeps! I’ve been working away on these vintage inspired pages and I had a brainstorm to create these vintage inspired planner inserts. I know it’s the middle of July, but I thought you might like this “new” planner idea (to me anyway) that I have created. I received such a great response with my vintage journaling pages that it inspired this idea.

I wanted to get these planner inserts out to you as soon as possible.

The botanical background paper was designed by me, using a variety of high resolution vintage ephemera images and vintage Photoshop brushes that I have created from my vintage resources. Hope you like the digital vintage collage-style paper with a pretty blue theme that I designed!

These planner inserts are specifically designed for fans of the Carpe Diem Planner by Simple Stories or other A5 planners. Or the pages can be used in the Classic Happy Planner as planner inserts by using the Mambi punch and popping the pages right into your Classic Happy planner.

The size of the planner inserts are 148 mm x 210 mm or 5.83″ by 8.27″, your standard A5 page. The images are laid out on US letter size pages with instructions on how to use.

How to Use this “ Planner Inserts” Printables :

There are several ways you can use this printable to cut out these freebies and I have included a few tips in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printable is to print it out on a full sheet of white cardstock and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait, Cricut or other digital cutter you can cut out the to-do lists or planner inserts using their designer software. It makes the task a lot faster but is not necessary to have

2) For the planner dashboard, it would be ideal if you printed it on glossy or matte photo paper so that the watercolor, glitter or foil texture will show up clearly. However, simple cardstock will do for inserts. If you own a laminator, laminating the dashboard and then hole punching it will improve it’s wear.

3) Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which makes cutting a straight line easier, rather than using scissors.

These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color. The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are sometimes distorted.

Free Vintage Journaling Paper Pages and Mini Ephemera

Happy weekend! Today, I’m providing my latest vintage ephemera junk journaling printable; so, I decided to provide this new set of vintage junk journaling pages and mini ephemera.

I hope this freebie inspires you in your crafting, art journaling, junk journaling and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.

I am totally enjoying designing these projects. I am always excited to develop new ideas for tags and now papers with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting uses. I am trying to provide a few of these vintage printables more frequently.

These jpegs are at the highest quality, so some of the files may be large. I also included a mini page (3.5″ by 5”) of mini ephemera; for this post, it is postage stamps. These are stamps I designed with vintage fashion illustrations and other media and they are slightly bigger than one inch. If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.
