Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and if you are viewing this on another day, well thanks for stopping by. As you can see, today’s freebie ( a set of retro Christmas journaling cards and ephemera) was created on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CC as reproduction Christmas journaling cards, labels and I’ve included a practice holiday digital paper for your holiday paper crafts and junk journaling.
I really had a lot of fun designing these elements even though getting the authentic feel and wear for these vintage images was a challenge. In any case, I hope you enjoy them!
Popular Graphic Sites
I really appreciate all of you who have visited this blog and also checked out Creative Fabrica and Rawpixel and signed up for their design graphics and vintage freebies! Your generous support helps me with providing additional freebies. Since I started recommending both of these sites, they are both incorporating powerful AI tools that makes any kind of designing and crafting much easier, so check them out if you so choose.
In addition, another one of my favorite design sites, Rawpixel, has a great assortment of public domain vintage images! Create a free account using my link, if you like.
And for a slew of great vintage and whimsical fonts and lots of crafting svgs, (including new AI tools) don’t forget to try Creative Fabrica. I have a subscription and use a lot of their graphic resources for my designs.
Design Inspiration
I developed the inspiration for these printables because I have been looking on Ebay for these vintage items and they are hard to come by or the exact design I am looking for.
As for the details about the freebie, there are two sets in all. The journaling cards measure approximately 3″ x 4″ and the Christmas digi paper is approximately 6″ x 6″ (1800 by 1800 pixels). These are approximate measurements for these elements.
Although these products were made specifically as junk journal or for pocket scrapbooking, as always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, December Dailies, art journals or other types of memory keeping.
Facts about the vintage Christmas freebie:
- There are two free printables; one US letter jpeg file + 6″ x “6 jpeg file
- These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp. (The preview pictures on the blog and at Google are at 72 dpi, the actual download’s color is actually much smoother and softer.)
- Printing tip: I would advise that you print on heavy white cardstock, plain or matte to use as die cuts or on white sticker paper to use the labels as stickers.
- Color theme: green, ivory, red, black, blue

Freebie #2 – Vintage Santa Digital Paper
Note: I created this digital paper in the spring, and pulled this out of my files. I realized there is a tiny seam, in the image but I released it for your crafting purposes. This was my early experiments into making digital paper in Adobe Illustrator CC. I have since improved my skills at “seamless” digital paper.
Note: For those following me on my Instagram account (and I invite you to follow me if you like) and my current progress of my Dollar Tree Candy Box Junk Journal, the following is my video short on Youtube…

Most of my elements are made from commercial use, public domain pictures and scanned vintage ephemera sources; however. if any designer feels their copyright has been infringed upon the freebie will promptly be removed and the freebie will no longer be made available. Designers vary in their restrictions for their terms of use (even for CU items), so although I try to be scrupulous, I may miss some. Vintage Santa image from Rawpixel.
