vintage journaling atc cards on desktop

Hello peeps! Well, today I am providing an addition to  my latest vintage junk journaling mini kit printables!    This set has a variety of fall florals and birds on ATC cards that were designed in full color, vintage faded and sepia color themes.   I also included a set of coordinated labels and a Fall Floral A5 planner weekly insert.   You can use this kit  to  jump start  your crafting, art and junk journaling,  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s freebie download.

Most of the lovely vintage images are public domain images and come from a wonderful website called Rawpixel, they offer unlimited downloads on  public domain images for free with a free sign up to their website.  You can download up to five images per day on their other free images.  They offer different high quality sizes of these graphics, some at resolutions suitable for professional printing.   I like this graphic website because they provide a lot of high quality png files as well as gorgeous vintage and vintage style images.

Many of the vintage style fonts were sourced from another of my favorite graphic design sites, Creative Fabrica.  The lovely fall watercolor florals were obtained from this site.  I would also like to mention that I sourced the postcard backgrounds from a great site of vintage ephemera called, The Art Scavenger.

I didn’t add distressing shades or brushes on the individual images, because what I have seen is that different diy crafters have different preferences to the amount of distressing they prefer on their journal items, I will suggest that you take a look at Tim Holtz, distressing inks, if you are interested in what “distressing” with ink is all about.

Facts about the Vintage Junk Journal Kit Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 16 elements varying from journaling cards, tickets, tabs and a single isolated butterfly image.  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects or other types of memory keeping.

This free junk journaling mini kit includes: 1)  a set of ATC cards on US letter size jpeg   2) A second set of  bird ATC cards on  a 8 1/2″ by 11″ jpeg file and 3)  A set of labels on a half US letter page and 4) a fall floral A5 weekly planner .   I didn’t bundle these files, so you will have to download them individually.  The watermark (if any) will NOT appear on your junk  journal page.

These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.

Thanks for Your Social Media Repins

I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank you’s” and the legitimate “link love”.  Thank you for your pins on Pinterest as well as a few Facebook links.  I also appreciate mentions in your blogs with appropriate link backs and active links.

My traffic keeps increasing from visitors from all over the world, thank goodness for Google translate!  I hope you don’t mind when I check out your Pinterest boards, and repin some of your pins to my boards, these pins usually provide inspiration for new designs of my own!

As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)  If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick  TOU below before you access the printable.

How to Use these  ATC Junk Journal Kit Printables:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout  is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter, such as the Cricut Explore or Maker  you can cut out the  journal kit using their designer software.

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock or heavy white printer paper  depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) Another way, (albeit a little time consuming way) is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the straight sides of stickers.  A gracious reader told me she does her fussy cutting while watching TV!  Great tip!

shabby chic journaling papers on desktop

Happy midweek!   Today, I’m providing  my latest vintage ephemera journaling papers printables. Here’s another flower and  also, shabby chic themed set of journaling papers that were super fun to design.

I designed these images in Photoshop CC which is an awesome photo editing program and can handle these large image files quite easily.  That’s part of the reason I subscribed to the CC version as soon as I was able as well as all the brushes you can load to the software.

Note:   The jpegs for these files will be rather hefty averaging at the largest 7 MB .  Your printing results will vary depending on the type of printer you have.  You can always take them to the nearest Office Depot or Staples (here in the US) to get higher quality printing if you are using these for a special journaling project.

Design Inspiration

I hope this freebie  inspires you in your crafting, art journaling, junk journaling  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.  I have been watching a lot of junk journaling videos on Youtube to get an idea on what types of papers might interest you and junk journalers.

I am totally enjoying designing these projects.  I   am always excited to develop new ideas for  tags  and now papers with a vintage ephemera theme for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting uses.

If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from  vintage Photoshop brushes (many that I am designing), vintage ledger script entries, vintage botanical images  that I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s!

I also would like to mention that Creative Fabrica  (a great graphic resource site and my go to site for many graphics) has ended their July sale but they have great freebies to offer for this month.

Facts about the Vintage Ephemera  Journaling Papers Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 5 junk journaling pages in this blog post printables offer.    You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks, junk journals or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has five  journaling pages at 8.5″ by 11″, stay tuned for the add-on kits I will be posting in the near future.   These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.  They can be used in either the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut digital cutters to cut them out or you can use scissors and a slide cutter.

The materials I used were vintage  ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

**Please note, although I used  public domain resources to create this design, the design is under my copyright.**

Materials Needed

*White cardstock, Southmore Linen paper  or white sticker paper, depending on your final use.

*Vintage inks, such as Tim Holtz  Distress Inkpads, to give the edges a worn, tinted or aged look, if that is your preference.  This process takes off the white edge of the journaling cards and journaling spots, if you are using them for junk journaling and gives the paper an subtle, aged and worn  look.  With these inks you control the amount of tinting and color you prefer on your edges.

*Scissors or slide cutter

*Photo editing software (i.e., Photoshop Elements) for jpeg files or Silhouette or other digital cutters.

How to Use this  Vintage Ephemera  Journaling  Papers Printable

  • Print and cut out the papers and use them as pages  for your junk journals, traveler’s notebooks and other planners.  Watermark is removed on actual downloads.

Free Blue Hydrangea Journaling Papers Add-On Printables

This post may contain affiliate links. I may receive a commission, at no cost to you, when you choose to use the links provided. See the Disclosure Policy for more information.

Happy Friday!   Today, I’m providing the  latest vintage ephemera journaling papers printables add- on I had hinted about in my most recent post.

I designed these images in Photoshop CC which is an awesome photo editing program and can handle these large image files quite easily.  (That’s part of the reason I subscribed to the CC version as soon as I was able.)   The jpegs for these files will be rather hefty averaging around 2 MB each and the reduced papers at 6.5 MB.  Your printing results will vary depending on the type of printer you have.  You can always take them to the nearest Office Depot or Staples (here in the US) to get higher quality printing if you are using these for a special journaling project.

I hope this freebie  inspires you in your crafting, art journaling, junk journaling  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.

Blue Hydrangea Journaling Add Ons Design Inspiration

I am totally enjoying designing these projects.  I   am always excited to develop new ideas for  tags  and now papers with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting uses.  I am trying to provide a few of these vintage printables more frequently.

If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.  The add-ons I added today have alot more options for traditional planners since the images are at a smaller scale.

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from  vintage Photoshop brushes (many that I am designing), round hand script, music sheets, vintage botanical images I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s!  I have also added one of my favorite design elements–vintage baroque scrolls to the design.  In addition, I created a journaling cards size daguerrotype photo  of lovely blue hydrangeas taken by talented photographers on one of my fav free photo sites, Unsplash!

I also would like to mention that Creative Fabrica  (a great graphic resource site and my go to site for many graphics) is having an awesome “Christmas in July” sale throughout July, check out their daily freebies and  giveaways, yesterday was a Silhouette Portrait!  These are legitimate offers and giveaways but the goodies and discounts end on July 30th, 2022.

Facts about the Vintage Ephemera  Journaling Add Ons Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 4  journaling options in this printable.    You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks, junk journals or other types of memory keeping.  This printable is for diy crafts but, of course, can be used in your journals.

This free printable has four  journaling printables at 8.5″ by 11″ with assorted add-ons to coordinate or match with the original papers I released.   These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.  They can be used in either the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut digital cutters to cut them out or you can use scissors and a slide cutter.  You don’t absolutely need a digital cutter to print, cut and assemble your projects but they’re great tools!

The materials I used were vintage  ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

**Please note, although I used  public domain resources to create this design, the design is under my copyright.**

Materials Needed

*White cardstock or white sticker paper, depending on your final use.  You might consider white matte photo paper as I have included photo images in the journaling cards printable.
