Free Blue Hydrangea Journaling Papers Add Ons 2

Happy midweek, blog followers and visitors !   Today, I’m providing the  third in this series of blue hydrangea vintage ephemera journaling papers printables  and add- ons,  I had hinted about in a past  post.  Yes, I do have a lot more flowers, but some of the inspiration for these designs I came up with after I had published my first post of these lovely flowers. 

Your enthusiasm motivated me to come up with some new ideas and hopefully these journaling papers are more luxurious!  So, I designed… (1) Lace journaling paper with a blue hydrangea repeat (2) Neutral journaling paper with hydrangea, script and vintage keys (3) french blue cotton fabric made to simulate muslin or ticking and  (4) three large tags made from these papers.  (The watermark is removed in the downloads.). Let me know what you think about these designs in the comments section below.

 I designed these images in Photoshop CC which is an awesome photo editing program and can handle these large image files quite easily.  (That’s part of the reason I subscribed to the CC version as soon as I was able.)   The jpegs for these files will be rather hefty averaging around 4 MB each and the lace paper at 7  MB.  Your printing results will vary depending on the type of printer you have.  You can always take them to the nearest Office Depot or Staples (here in the US) to get higher quality printing if you are using these for a special journaling project.

Blue Hydrangea Journaling Add Ons Design Inspiration 

I am totally enjoying designing these projects.  I  am always excited to develop new ideas for  tags  and now papers with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting use.  I am trying to provide a few of these vintage printables more frequently.  

If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.  

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from  vintage Photoshop brushes (many that I am designing), round hand script,  vintage botanical images I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s!  Each design requires different Photoshop skill sets, so I enjoy the process.

I thought I would mention that Creative Fabrica  (a great graphic resource site and my go to site for many graphics) is having an awesome “Christmas in July” sale throughout July, check out their daily freebies and  giveaways, yesterday was a Cricut Press!  These are legitimate offers and giveaways but the goodies and discounts end on July 30th, 2022 when the promotion ends.

As for the details about the freebie, there are 4  journaling options in this printable.    You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks, junk journals or other types of memory keeping.  This printable is for diy crafts but, of course, can be used in your journals.

This free printable has four  journaling printables at 8.5″ by 11″ with assorted add-ons to coordinate or match with the original papers I released.   These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.  They can be used in either the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut digital cutters to cut them out or you can use scissors and a slide cutter.  You don’t absolutely need a digital cutter to print, cut and assemble your projects but they’re great tools!

The materials I used were vintage  ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

Materials Needed

*White cardstock or white sticker paper, depending on your final use.  You might consider white matte photo paper as I have included photo images in the journaling cards printable.

*Vintage inks, such as Tim Holtz  Distress Inkpads, to give the edges a worn, tinted or aged look, if that is your preference.  This process takes off the white edge of the journaling cards and journaling spots, if you are using them for junk journaling and gives the paper a subtle, aged and worn  look.  With these inks you control the amount of tinting and color you prefer on your edges.

*Scissors or slide cutter

*Photo editing software (i.e., Photoshop Elements) for jpeg files or Silhouette or other digital cutters.

  • Print and cut out the papers and use them as add on items  for your junk journals, traveler’s notebooks and other planners.  Watermark is removed on actual downloads.

Happy midweek!   Today, I’m providing  my latest vintage ephemera journaling papers printables; so, I decided to provide this new set of vintage  junk journaling papers with a blue hydrangea as the theme.  I love flowers as you can see, and I thought a blue flower (which are not that common) would be an appropriate subject.  My actual favorite color is violet, but blue is a very close second.

In any case, I designed these images in Photoshop CC which is an awesome photo editing program and can handle these large image files quite easily.  That’s part of the reason I subscribed to the CC version as soon as I was able.    The jpegs for these files will be rather hefty averaging around 7 MB each.  Your printing results will vary depending on the type of printer you have.  You can always take them to the nearest Office Depot or Staples (here in the US) to get higher quality printing if you are using these for a special journaling project.

Free Summer Floral Planner Stickers Printable

Hello peeps…it’s Monday and the start of another new week,  I thought I would  follow up with this set of  Happy Planner planner stickers (weekly layout) using  digi papers from this bright and lovely floral pattern. 

 I love these cute paper designs from Jenny L Design at Creative Fabrica.  Make sure you take advantage of their “Christmas in July” sale where they are giving away daily deals and giveaways in the month of July.  And every Monday they have great bargains on graphics and fonts for the week.  

Info about the  Classic Happy Planner

Me and my Big Ideas, the manufacturer of the Happy Planner has expanded their interior layouts to weekly, timeline, Memory Keeper and dashboard views.    They come in different sizes; Big, Classic, Mini and Skinny.

These planner stickers are specifically designed for fans of the “Classic” MAMBI Happy Planner (vertical layout) or similar Week At A Glance Planners or other vertical weekly planners.  Of course, you can use them in whatever type of planner you own!

The functional planner stickers, especially the full box stickers, are sized to fit within the vertical columns and boxes specifically for the Classic Happy Planner.  Keep in mind that the full boxes are now sized at approximately 2.5″ by 1.5″ .

They are  almost 1/2″ taller than your vertical boxes for the Erin Condren Planner (1.9″).  Sometimes the designs can not be scaled down for your Erin Condren, so expect some distortion to occur.  However, you are free to mix and match as you are inspired.

As always, these stickers and elements can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping and paper crafting but these were made specifically for you Happy Planner and Erin Condren fans.

How to Use this “Planner Stickers” Printable:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter, (i.e. Cricut Explore)  you can cut out the to-do lists or planner stickers using their designer software.

2) Also another method, would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock depending on how thick you want your sticker and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) The most time consuming way is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  In addition, don’t forget a paper trimmer which helps with the straight cuts. You should probably use punches for the circle stickers. I try to design the circle stickers at standard punch sizes.  For hand cutting, a new tool I highly recommend is the Gyro-tool.  It’s rotating blade allows you to cut around curvy shapes and is especially good around script stickers.  Reader Tip:  A reader noted that she fussy cuts her stickers while watching TV!  (Clever idea.)

*These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color. The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are sometimes distorted.
*Color scheme:  muted pink, gold, olive green, tomato red
