Hot Pink Journaling Cards – Free Printable

Hello peeps… If you have been waiting for your “project life” or pocketbook scrapbooking freebie, here it is! I hope you all had a nice long, holiday weekend. I thought I would design these project life or pocket scrapbooking elements with a super bright, high contract color scheme—hot pink and black.

As for the details about today’s freebie, there are 16 hot pink journaling elements in all. You have 4 journaling cards (3″ x 4″) and a few more labels, tags and word snippets.

As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping and papercrafting. Many of you Filofax fans have found new uses for these elements as well.

Facts about the Journaling Cards freebie:

16 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.
File size – less than 1MB
These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color. The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are often distorted. I have added a distressed look to some of the elements.
Color scheme: hot pink, black, white

Free Silhouette Cut File – Polaroid Frames

cut-files-polaroid-frames-header Hello peeps! So, today I decided to release a long promised cut file. I think the last one I released was at the beginning of the new year! Wow, I can’t believe that three months (the first quarter of the year) have flown by so fast and I haven’t yet started releasing all the ideas I have on my to do list! Tsk, Tsk…anyway, I hope you like what I have created today and any constructive feedback will be appreciated.

Just so you’ll know, I even have my own Pinterest board for Silhouette DIY Crafts |“Silhouette Cameo & Cut Files” that has a whole lot of great pins showcasing free cut files from other experienced bloggers and crafters on the ‘net. There are pins of really sophisticated designs on my board as well as basic ones and new pins for the new release of Silhouette Designer Studio ( which brings designing cut files to a whole new level).

For your information, I will be including an svg file, png files, a Silhouette Studio file with most of the files designed on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ format so that you can use the file on most printers and of course, a pdf “Terms of Use” file in zip file format.

This is the cut file I created for your use in your papercraft projects, i.e. scrapbooking, smashbooks, gift cards, etc. Both of these frames are created for project life journaling and are sized about 1/16″ of inch smaller on both sides of the frame in order to slip easier into the pocket sleeves of your binder. Or, you can use them in other papercrafting projects. Hope you like them! 🙂

Facts about this freebie :

2 cut files on 8 1/2″ x 11″ format using Silhouette Designer Studio.
All files will be delivered in zip format.
Files will vary in size depending on the original source files. This whole zip file is less than 500 kb.
A TOU will be included in download.
Files are saved and will be accessible from an external site for now.
I will try to include an image file that includes (the scissors with the words “cut files”) somewhere in the blog post so that you are aware that the download includes a cut file of some kind. Not all of my freebies will include cut files.

You can download the zip file by clicking the preview image below. You will be taken to an external Google drive site and you have two options: (as shown below)

1) If you would like the complete zip file, click on the left hand side of the menu select File >Download.

2) If you want only select files, go to the right side and select only the file you prefer.

I am going to test this process for a bit to see how these options work for you. If this becomes too confusing, in the future I will bundle the whole file and make only the zip file available.

Hello blog followers and visitors…Today, we have an update or coordinating “project life” or journaling cards freebie with a Cherries theme layout I designed in June of 2013, and where I also used one of my favorite color schemes–the colors teal blue, Tiffany blue and red.

You have probably seen my Christmas freebies with this color scheme but I keep reusing it since I find the colors so lovely for other holiday’s & upcoming spring paper crafting as well. Although, Valentine’s Day has since passed, I still included a few hearts in the designs from the original digital paper referenced below. Hope you like this new set! 🙂

Facts about the freebie:

This free printable was designed on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file with 25 elements.
The file size is 1.57 MB.
These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp.
Printing tip: Print on heavy white cardstock, matte or plain.
Color scheme: red, turquoise, white, black

How to Use this “Journaling Cards” Printable:

There are a few ways you can use this printable to create your journaling cards and elements and I have included a few tips in the following instructions:

The easiest way to use this printable is to print it out on a full sheet of white cardstock and if you own a Silhouette Portrait or a Silhouette Cameo or other digital cutter (i.e. Cricut) you can cut out the journaling cards and journaling elements using their designer software. ( **Please note: You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette. There are several pdf to jpg converters online if your software just can’t open a pdf. You will have to spend some time creating the cutlines for the silhouette but this should make creating the cutfile and cutting it out a lot easier.)
The most labor intensive (or time consuming) way is to print out the journaling cards or journaling elements on 65 lb. white cardstock and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors or a slide paper trimmer to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.
