Vintage Kitschy Digital Diecuts for Project Life Filler Cards
Hello blog followers and visitors…it’s almost 3 days before Christmas! So, I just wanted to share a few notes on a theme I have been working on with my most recent project life filler cards. I have been using vintage kitschy digital images and incorporating them into my designs for a “Merry Kitschmas” theme.
I have also been using my Silhouette Cameo to create an offset on some of the vintage kitschy digital images. Some layouts look better with an offset others do not. Here’s the round up of the layouts I have created and posted to my Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Project Life Filler Card#1
I used Crate Paper scrapbooking paper for the background and added embellishments with gold foil diecuts, sequins and scrap paper banners. I diecut the fawn image with my Silhouette Cameo.
I used Heidi Swapp scrapbooking paper for this filler card. I embellished it with Jolee’s Boutique snowflakes, a flair made with my Epiphany Crafts tool, and scrap paper banners.
Project Life Filler Card #3
I used Crate Paper’s vintage themed “Peppermint” scrapbooking paper for the background on this filler card. I embellished it with a few snowflake diecuts, stickers and punched shapes. The vintage kitschy kitten was too cute!
Project Life Filler Card Layout #1
I used scrapbooking paper by Pink Paislee for these two filler cards. I embellished them with Jolee’s Boutique snowflakes, stickers, green glitter washi tape and scrap paper banners. I just love vintage images of woodland animals and these bird and fawn were just the kind of kitschy digital image I was looking for!
Project Life Card Layout – 6″ x 8″
I used a combination of Crate Paper and Heidi Swap scrapbooking papers for the background on these project life filler cards. I went “deer” crazy with the cute little vintage fawn digital images.
Also, I am including a short video that gives you a closeup view of the detail on the cards. Enjoy!
Blog Announcement – Handmade Greeting Cards Now on my Etsy Store
Hello blog visitors and followers. Well, I imagine you are busy with all you last minute shopping, wrapping, crafting and all the last minute activities that can occupy your time in this holiday season.
I just wanted to share that I am beginning to post tangible papercraft products in my Etsy Store apart from the digital graphics. As we ahead into the new year,( imagine 2015 already?), I will be posting additional papercraft products handmade by moi!
I wanted to show you the detail on some of the recent limited greeting cards that I created and made available for sale on Etsy.
Greeting Card #1
I had holiday baking in mind when I created this card. I loaded it with a lot of embellishments including a clothespin, handcrafted flair and silhouette diecuts as well as a diecut banner made with my Sissix machine.
Greeting Card #2
I was thinking “vintage” with this card and wanted it decorated with snow mittens and a lot of feminine details, such as stitched scalloped borders. I even added the vintage sentiment because I thought it was so cute and of course, for more bling… pink glitter snowflakes and rhinestones.
Greeting Card #3
I was thinking of a “blue Christmas” with this card. I love all the light blue elements and especially enjoyed creating the woodgrain background for the card.
Greeting Card #4
Now what is Christmas crafting without a little gold and another favorite woodland animal…a deer. This card was so fun to craft. I added a lot of details including an embossed piece and white ink stamped piece of acetate to simulate viewing the snow through a window.
Greeting Card #5
This card was so much fun to handcraft. I used premade Jolee’s Boutique embellishments and placed it on an embossed backing designed by Anna Griffin. A little more formal. (This card is no longer available on Etsy and has been sold.)
Well, that’s the round up of cards I handcrafted and actually have made available on my Etsy Store. You will be seeing more papercraft items in the future as I coordinate my time for these handcrafted items. I hope you like my creations! 🙂
Don’t forget to follow me on the Social Media hangout of your choice and on my email subscription if you would like to receive my blog posts the day they are published. Thanks!
