Happy end of the first week of December, Day 7!   Today, I’m providing  my latest vintage ephemera junk journaling printables.  I have noticed a lot of traffic on these blog posts and I’d like to acknowledge and appreciate the support and referral traffic. 

Today, I am providing you a set of Vintage Christmas journaling papers or paper textures that you can use for a variety of paper crafts.  The color theme is filled with rich cranberry reds, forest greens, and  creamy vintage book pages that  suggest vintage Christmases of times past.  And, of course, my regular readers know I like the contrast of script and ledger paper.  

In any case, I hope this freebie  inspires you in your diy crafting, art journaling, junk journaling  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.

Design Inspiration

I so enjoy designing these projects.  I  am always excited to develop new ideas for  tags  and now papers with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting uses.  I am trying to provide a few of these vintage printables more frequently.  I mentioned previously about how many crafting/junk journaling  Youtube videos I am watching for inspiration and ideas.   The list of ideas is long.

These jpegs are created in Photoshop CC at a high quality dpi, so some of the files may be large at approximately 5 MB.   I designed the repeats in these patterns in Photoshop and than layered with other paper textures to provide you with the journaling papers I am releasing today.  If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also resize some of these images and pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from ledger script, vintage Christmas music images I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s and great vintage ephemera websites.   I also would like to mention that Creative Fabrica  (a great graphic resource site and my go to site) is having an awesome  sale throughout this month as we get ready for holiday/Christmas crafting, be sure to check out their daily freebies and giveaways.   I took advantage of their Black Friday sale and reduced the annual cost of my subscription.  There are a lot of  other great digital graphics websites that I use, but I have been pleased with the offers provided by Creative Fabrica.  The chinoiserie graphic below was is an exclusive design by Creative Fabrica’s graphic designers.

Facts about the Vintage Ephemera Junk Journaling Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 4 printables provided today.    You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks, junk journals or other types of memory keeping.  This printable is for diy paper crafts but, of course, can be used in your journals.

This freebie has two journaling pages at 8.5″ by 11″ and two add on pages of Christmas washi and a newly designed printable of 3″ x 5″ postage stamps.   These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.  They can be used in either the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut digital cutters to cut them out or you can use scissors and a slide cutter.

The materials I used were vintage  ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

Materials Needed

*White cardstock or white sticker paper, depending on your final use.

*Vintage inks, such as Tim Holtz  Distress Inkpads, to give the edges a worn, tinted or aged look.  Takes off the white edge of the journaling cards and journaling spots if you are using them for junk journaling and gives the paper an aged look.  With these inks you control the amount of tinting and color you prefer on your edges.

*Scissors or slide cutter

*Photo editing software (i.e., Photoshop Elements) for jpeg files or Silhouette or other digital cutters.

How to Use this  Vintage Ephemera Junk Journaling Printable

  • Print and cut out the papers and use them as pages, backgrounds or pockets  for your junk journals, traveler’s notebooks and other planners.  Watermark (if any) is removed on actual downloads.

Hello peeps…it’s Monday  and here we are officially in the holiday season.  Here’s a  new set of  Happy Planner planner stickers (weekly layout) using  digi papers from a lovely pastel Christmas  themed pattern set. There are lots of cute Christmas graphics and cute (or ugly?) Christmas sweaters in this set of digital papers.

I love these  paper designs that I often get  at Creative Fabrica, especially these cute digital papers from PoppyMoon Designs. This week the paper choice is appropriate as we are now officially in the month of December.  I hope you are all on top of your holiday shopping!

Info about the  Classic Happy Planner

Me and my Big Ideas, the manufacturer of the Happy Planner has expanded their interior layouts to weekly, timeline, Memory Keeper and dashboard views.    They come in different sizes; Big, Classic, Mini and Skinny.  They keep updating what they offer every year.

These planner stickers are specifically designed for fans of the “Classic” MAMBI Happy Planner (vertical layout) or similar Week At A Glance Planners or other vertical weekly planners.  If you resize them, of course, you can use them in whatever type of planner you own!  I know I am not.

The functional planner stickers, especially the full box stickers, are sized to fit within the vertical columns and boxes specifically for the Classic Happy Planner.  Keep in mind that the full boxes are now sized at approximately 2.5″ by 1.5″ .

They are  almost 1/2″ taller than your vertical boxes for the Erin Condren Planner (1.9″).  Sometimes the designs can not be scaled down for your Erin Condren, so expect some distortion to occur.  However, you are free to mix and match as you are inspired.

As always, these stickers and elements can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping and paper crafting but these were made specifically for you Happy Planner and Erin Condren fans.

How to Use this “Planner Stickers” Printable:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter, (i.e. Cricut Explore)  you can cut out the to-do lists or planner stickers using their designer software.

2) Also another method, would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock depending on how thick you want your sticker and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) The most time consuming way is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  In addition, don’t forget a paper trimmer which helps with the straight cuts and makes this task easier.

You should probably use punches for the circle stickers. I try to design the circle stickers at standard punch sizes.  For hand cutting, a new tool I highly recommend is the Gyro-tool.  It’s rotating blade allows you to cut around curvy shapes and is especially good around script stickers.  Reader Tip:  A reader noted that she fussy cuts her stickers while watching TV!

Hello peeps…Today, I am  releasing this set of planner inserts printable that has a  variety of checklists  that will fit either personal sized planners  or your Classic Happy Planner. 

This is just a revamped planner insert checklist with an updated Christmas theme.  There is a 1/2″ margin allowance for your hole punches; of course, after you print and cut out this printable.  Each individual insert is sized at approximately  3″ by 6.5″.

If you are a Filofax fan or owner of a planner with A5 weekly inserts, you will be  able to use this printable as well.   Please note:

These planner stickers are specifically designed for fans of the Me and My Big Ideas Classic Happy Planner,   Kikki.K or Filofax personal planner or similar smaller personal sized  weekly planners.
