Happy Friday! Today, I’m providing my latest vintage ephemera junk journaling printable. I have noticed a lot of traffic on these blog posts and I’d like to acknowledge and appreciate the support and referral traffic. Today, I am providing you a set using Vintage Christmas music ephemera combined with other floral images. The color theme is filled with rich cranberry reds and greens that are appropriate for the holiday season. And, of course, my regular readers know I like the contrast of black script.

In any case, I hope this freebie inspires you in your diy crafting, art journaling, junk journaling and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.

I so enjoy designing these projects. I am always excited to develop new ideas for tags and now papers with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting uses. I am trying to provide a few of these vintage printables more frequently. I mentioned previously about how many crafting/junk journaling Youtube videos I am watching for inspiration and ideas. The list of ideas is long.

These jpegs are created in Photoshop CC at a high quality dpi, so some of the files may be large at approximately 5 MB. If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also resize some of these images and pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from ledger script, vintage Christmas music images I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s and great vintage ephemera websites.

I also would like to mention that Creative Fabrica (a great graphic resource site and my go to site) is having an awesome sale throughout this month as we get ready for holiday/Christmas crafting, be sure to check out their daily freebies and giveaways. They are pulling out all the stops for Black Friday! Also, I obtained these Johan Teyler images from another great graphic website, Rawpixel which is loaded with a slew of vintage public domain images and artwork for your diy projects.

Facts about the Vintage Ephemera Junk Journaling Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 4 printables provided today. You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks, junk journals or other types of memory keeping. This printable is for diy paper crafts but, of course, can be used in your journals.

This freebie has two journaling pages at 8.5″ by 11″ and two add on pages of Christmas washi and a newly designed printable of 3″ x 5″ postage stamps. These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp. They can be used in either the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut digital cutters to cut them out or you can use scissors and a slide cutter.

The materials I used were vintage ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

**Please note, although I used public domain resources to create this design, the design is under my copyright.**

Materials Needed

*White cardstock or white sticker paper, depending on your final use.

*Vintage inks, such as Tim Holtz Distress Inkpads, to give the edges a worn, tinted or aged look. Takes off the white edge of the journaling cards and journaling spots if you are using them for junk journaling and gives the paper an aged look. With these inks you control the amount of tinting and color you prefer on your edges.

*Scissors or slide cutter

*Photo editing software (i.e., Photoshop Elements) for jpeg files or Silhouette or other digital cutters.

How to Use this Vintage Ephemera Junk Journaling Printable

Print and cut out the papers and use them as pages, backgrounds or pockets for your junk journals, traveler’s notebooks and other planners. Watermark is removed on actual downloads.

Free Christmas Music Tags or Pocket Cards Printable

Hello peeps, I hope you are having a great week and are getting ready for tomorrow’s big day, Thanksgiving, at least here in the US! As you can see, I am providing a rather unique design for today’s freebie ( a set of Christmas music tags). They are made with original vintage Christmas sheet music ephemera and vintage holiday botanicals.

I really had a lot of fun designing these tags even though finding and collecting the vintage images was a challenge. But it was a challenge I enjoyed, I checked on Pinterest and found a great site for these type of music sheets and liberal download policies. I have included the links for these resources below.

Design Inspiration

The backgrounds were a great find on the interwebs, I went to my favorite place to search for these vintage Christmas music sheets and found this great Pinterest link for “Free Printable Christmas Sheet Music” or this gal’s site at, 25 Free Christmas Sheet Music Printables. There are several popular Christmas songs to choose from. They make great wall art, printables or art journal ephemera.

As for the details about the freebie, there are 9 elements in all. The tags measure approximately 3″ x 4″. The smaller labels/tags are approximately 3″ by 1.5″ wide. I combined a variety of botanical christmas images and vintage textures for these tags. You can see some of my results in the following video.

Although these tags were made specifically as journal bits, as always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping. Or they can be used as gift tags or pocket cards, use your imagination and let your creativity inspire you!

Here’s a sample of what these tags look like printed out on white cardstock. You can choose to distress the tags with Tim Holtz’ distress ink (i.e. vintage photo) or tea dye if you prefer.

The file size is 3.7 MB.
These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp. (The preview pictures on the blog and at Google are at 72 dpi, the actual download’s color is actually much smoother and softer.)
Printing tip: I would advise that you print on heavy white cardstock, plain or matte to use as tags or in cards. You can print on regular copy paper to include as layered tags for your art journals.
Color theme: cream, black, red, green
