atc cards on desktop

Hello peeps!  Well, I have gone back to my vintage theme with today’s freebie.  I have been experimenting with some of my “new” vintage brushes, overlay blends,  and vintage images  and came up with these designs.  The ATC cards are in a neutral color in three different sepia tones and three different styles free for you to use ” as is” or so that you can embellish your art journals or art/bullet journals.  I think they might serve as a good background or base for your designs

I added a canvas texture which you can see clearly when you view the cards up close.  These vintage  ATC cards also have several vintage elements that add additional interest.

Just my little dabbling  into “digital” mixed media and junk journaling.

Facts about the ATC Cards

As for the details about the freebie, there are 8 different ATC cards measuring 2.5″ by 3.5″ , about the size of your standard baseball card.

As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journaling, junk journaling or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has 8 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ jpeg file.  This freebie’s file size is  rather large at approximately 7.2 MB.  The elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp.  The paper texture at 100% detail  and the images are taken from vintage ephemera digital files scanned at a high dpi and Photoshop brushes that I have created.  Hope you like them! 🙂

Free Father’s Day Vintage Gift Envelope Printables

men's clothing items on table

Hello, blog followers and visitors!  Today’s release is in honor of all the fathers and Papa’s to be.  Since Father’s Day is around the corner, I wanted to release these vintage gift envelopes for that last minute little gift (of money?) for your favorite guy.

As for the details about today’s freebie, there are 3 different patterns on the envelopes I have provided. They were selected because they reminded me of different men in my life (no this is not a Hollywood tell all ), I was thinking of schematics because they remind me of my brother when he was in college studying for his architect degree.   He had all the pencils, compasses, rulers, brushes etc. on his drafting desk as he completed his homework, as his little sister I got to  earn a little money cleaning up his desk for him. (Lol)

In any case, architectural blueprints were the items  I had to neatly roll up and put away for him at the end of his study session.  So, I thought it was appropriate to provide you with schematics drawings and one pattern that looks a little like a blueprint.

The other pattern reminds me of my grandfather ( born in 1898) who wore a hat (a fedora) every time he went outvintage man's hat in public  until he passed away many years ago.  I remember he also used to shave with a shaving brush and soap everyday and never changed his routine.  So, there is a little insight into my personal story and the inspiration behind the designs. In any case, I wish you all a Happy Father’s Day!   I hope you like these printables! ( Drop me a comment of your favorite moment with your Dad, if you have the time.)

Although these vintage gift envelopes are meant for gifting, as always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of paper crafts.

Facts about the Vintage Gift Envelopes freebie:

  • This free printable has  gift envelopes on three 8 1/2″ by 11″ jpeg files.
  • The file sizes are 2.8MB, 3.1 MB and 1.8MB
  • Size of folded envelope is approximately 4.1/2″ by 2 1/4″ (ideal for money or gift card)
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color.  The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are often distorted.  I used 300 dpi images for the roses.
  • Color scheme: black, red, blue

Materials and Supplies

  • White cardstock (ideally print on cardstock so that you can get a crisp fold on the tabs)
  • Scissors or digital cutter

*Printing tip:  Make sure your ink in your printer is at a reasonable level before printing.  Keep the aspect ratio or print size at 8 1/2 by 11″.

Thank you for all your Pinterest pins and other social media sharing…

I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank yous” and the legitimate “link love”.   I have been nearly overwhelmed with the positive response from blog followers and blog visitors.

Thank you for your pins on Pinterest as well as Facebook links.  I also appreciate mentions in your blogs with appropriate link backs and active links as well Instagram mentions.  Many of you have been kind enough to feature some of my designs on your blogs and that has contributed to the increased traffic.

bullet journal stickers on desktop

Hello peeps! Today, I am excited to release a new “freebie” printable that I designed that has planner stickers  suitable for  Traveler’s Notebooks , bullet journal or art journal type planners.  However, although they are designed with these type of planners in mind, you are free to use them in any type of planner.   This is a whole new size and because of the  scale of the stickers I have changed the layout to 5.5″ x 8.5″.  I was inspired by a lovely pin on Pinterest and I decided I  would try to design these type of  number and/or date stickers.

This will allow me to provide more stickers in the future to accommodate Cricut users as well as Silhouette digital cutter users.  Silhouette owners can place two of the half page printables on one full page of sticker paper so no space is wasted.  I used real vintage elements either sold as Photoshop brushes for Commercial use or brushes  I made on my own from scanned vintage documents.  This project was a lot of fun to design.

A Few Notes About the Traveler’s Notebook Stickers

If you are a Filofax fan or owner of a personal planner, you will be  able to use this printable as well.  However, the planner stickers are styled more for art journaling, faith journaling or  pocket scrapbooking.

Please note:  These stickers will fit in a Traveler’s Notebook  which can accommodate filler sheets or inserts  with a  layout that are sized at 4.33″  x  8.25″ or 127 mm x 210mm.  This traditional layout is taller and narrower almost the size of your standard No. 10 envelope.

They should also work in A5 type of planners.  Remember these stickers are much smaller than my usual Erin Condren or Happy Planner stickers!

These planner stickers are specifically designed for fans of the  Traveler’s Notebook or similar smaller personal sized  weekly planners such as the Franklin Covey or Filofax.   If you’re not familiar with a Traveler’s Notebook, it’s basically a leather cover with elastic bands that you can fill with multiple notebook inserts according to your desire.  The interior pages are sized at 4.33″ by 8.25″. There are also smaller traveler’s notebooks than these.

Traveler’s Notebook Accessories

I recently purchased a brown Traveler’s Notebook and inserts which  is similar to the original Midori Traveler’s notebook.  It came with the notebook, three notebook inserts with blank, ruled and grid paper, two bands, clear credit card insert, a pen holder, a pen and a  skeleton clip.  What I like about these type of planners are the variety of inserts that one can use to give this slimmer planner the functionality of a portable wallet.

As for inserts, Freckled Fawn now carries a 3″ x 8″ Pocket Page Scrapbook Insert for the Traveler’s Notebook which allows you to place your favorite 3″ x 4″ pocket cards or photos in the insert.

The Midori Traveler’s notebook line  also comes in a variety of sizes, so you have several choices.

I also  own a pretty  pink one by Webster’s Pages but I have noticed that this notebook hold its own size of inserts.

The original brand for the traveler’s notebook is called a Midori  other versions are sometimes referred to as a Fauxdori or Traveler’s Notebook (TN).  Etsy has several shops where these Midori style  notebooks are sold.

The functional planner stickers, especially the full  box stickers,  are sized to fit small planner inserts that range around 4″  to 5″ across .   The scale of these stickers are small enough for the mini happy planner by Mambi as well.  However, the style of the stickers will be geared more for art journaling and memory keeping.

Also, if you are new to this site, I wanted to let you know  that I have a board on Pinterest  that  you might want to follow that has several pins (ideas) by other planner designers, stationery, home office decor,  office supplies and planner freebies that are mostly planner related, you can view that and/or follow here,  Home Office | Planners & Stationery Favs.

There are 45+ planner stickers or  elements total in today’s release.     As always, these stickers and elements  can either be used for  journaling in your project life projects,  art journals or other types of memory keeping and papercrafting but these were made specifically for Traveler’s Notebook fans.

Note**Please see my Terms of Use below before downloading if you have not to been to this site before.**

How to Use this “Bullet Journal” Printable:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout  is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter such as the Cricut Maker or Explore  you can cut out or planner stickers using their designer software. ( **Please note:  You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette.

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) The rather time consumingway is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the stickers.

Facts about the freebie:

  • Two sets of  date planner stickers on an 5.5″ x 8.5″ jpeg file.
  • A set of vintage style french floral  on a 3.5″ by 5.5″ page.
  • File size : 500 KB, 1.5 MB, 1.7 MB
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color.  The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are sometimes distorted.
  • Color scheme: mauve, light mauve, ivory

As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)  If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick  TOU below before you access the printable.
