vintage halloween washi printables on desktop

Hey planner peeps, with the approaching fall season,  I wanted to get ahead of your Halloween planning with this vintage  washi printable for you!  I wanted to help you out  with this  washi printable to jump start  your bullet journaling, art or junk  journaling,  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s freebie! This time I provided two sizes of the same design for you.  The washi on the letter (US) size printable is approximately 3/4″ tall and the washi on the half letter (US) size is approximately 1/2″ tall.   Some of these images are from Creative Fabrica, a fav graphics site that I subscribe to…among others.

I love, love washi.  So, I  have wanted to create washi with  color themes  and vintage designs that I like and that you might enjoy as well.  You can use this washi for either scrapbooking, art journaling, smashbooks and other paper crafting uses.

Today’s freebie was created from a variety of vintage images and vector paper patterns.  I also added a few circles on the half letter size because I thought it would coordinate well.

If you visit my blog often, you know by now that I am always experimenting with different patterns and this happens to be my latest washi freebie!  Hope you like the vintage halloween designs – there are a variety of patterns in this freebie and in two sizes-letter size and half letter size.

Facts about the Vintage Inspired Halloween Washi Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 15 elements or washi strips and all the  patterns are different.   The washi on the the letter size is approximately 3/4″ wide, basically  your standard washi size.   As always, they can either be used for journaling in your junk journals, art journaling projects or other types of memory keeping.

This second free printable has 24 elements on an 5 1/2″ by 8.5″ jpg file.  I designed  it so that it can be used on either a Cricut digital Cutter or Sihouette Portrait.  The download file size is approximately 2 MB each.

How to Use this “Vintage Inspired Halloween Washi” Printable:

Use these washi stickers for your planners, junk journals, as an envelope wrapper and other fun ideas.  Let your creativity guide you!

There are several ways you can cut this printable to create your washi stickers and I have included a few tips in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter, (i.e. Cricut Explore)  you can cut out the to-do lists or planner stickers using their designer software. If you own the Silhouette Cameo,  you can double the image on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper on a landscape setting as the sticker sheet is 5.5 x 8”.  This will keep you from wasting paper.

2) Also another method, would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock depending on how thick you want your sticker and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) The most labor intensive way is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  In addition, don’t forget a paper trimmer which helps with straight cuts. For hand cutting, a new tool I highly recommend is the Gyro-tool.  It’s rotating blade allows you to cut around curvy shapes and is especially good around script stickers.  Reader Tip:  Cut the stickers while watching TV!

William Morris journaling printables on desktop

Happy Thursday!   Today, I’m providing  my latest vintage ephemera junk journaling printable.  I have noticed a lot of traffic on these blog posts and I’d like to acknowledge and appreciate the support and referral traffic.  Today, I am providing you a set using William Morris ( a famous British 19th century textile and wallpaper artist’s) wallpaper images combined with vintage ephemera.  The color theme is filled with rich golds and black that suggest the upcoming fall season.  And, of course, my regular readers know I like the contrast of black.

In any case, I hope this freebie  inspires you in your paper crafting, art journaling, junk journaling  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.

I so enjoy designing these projects.  I  am always excited to develop new ideas for  tags  and now papers with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting uses.  I am trying to provide a few of these vintage printables more frequently.  I mentioned previously about how many crafting/junk journaling  Youtube videos I am watching for inspiration and ideas.  It has inspired me to actually tea and coffee dye some of my own copy paper.  The coffee dyed paper below is a scan of an actual coffee dyed paper that I created using a modified technique of actually immersing the paper in a tea bath; I also added a rose repeat pattern and it shows up within the coffee wash!  I hope you like it!

These jpegs are created at the highest quality, so some of the files may be large at approximately 5 MB.  If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also resize some of these images and pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from ledger script, vintage botanical images I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s.   I also would like to mention that Creative Fabrica  (a great graphic resource site and my go to site) is having an awesome  sale throughout this month as we get ready for fall crafting, be sure to check out their daily freebies and giveaways.  Also, I obtained these William Morris images from another great graphic website, Rawpixel  which is loaded with a slew of public domain images and  artwork.

Facts about the Vintage Ephemera Junk Journaling Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 4 printables provided today.    You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks, junk journals or other types of memory keeping.  This printable is for diy paper crafts but, of course, can be used in your journals.

This freebie has two journaling pages at 8.5″ by 11″ and two add on pages of large tags and a newly designed printable of 3″ x 5″ tabbed index cards.   These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.  They can be used in either the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut digital cutters to cut them out or you can use scissors and a slide cutter.

The materials I used were vintage  ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

**Please note, although I used  public domain resources to create this design, the design is under my copyright.**

Materials Needed

*White cardstock or white sticker paper, depending on your final use.

*Vintage inks, such as Tim Holtz  Distress Inkpads, to give the edges a worn, tinted or aged look.  Takes off the white edge of the journaling cards and journaling spots if you are using them for junk journaling and gives the paper an aged look.  With these inks you control the amount of tinting and color you prefer on your edges.

*Scissors or slide cutter

*Photo editing software (i.e., Photoshop Elements) for jpeg files or Silhouette or other digital cutters.

How to Use this  Vintage Ephemera Junk Journaling Printable

  • Print and cut out the papers and use them as pages or pockets  for your junk journals, traveler’s notebooks and other planners.  Watermark is removed on actual downloads.

Fall Words Journaling Paper and Tags Printable

This post may contain affiliate links. I may receive a commission, at no cost to you, when you choose to use the links provided. See the Disclosure Policy for more information.

fall words and mixed media printables on desktop

Hello peeps!   Today, I’m providing  my latest set of vintage ephemera journaling papers printables.  As I had shared previously, I have been watching a lot of Youtube video tutorials on art journals, junk journals and other crafty pursuits.

Today’s printable is essentially a neutral mixed media journaling paper that was created to serve as a background for tags, pockets, or tiny clusters with lots of artsy brushes. There are actually two pages in one US letter printable.  I also included fall words in an IBM Selectric type font and a popular handwritten font with an actual scan of the end papers of a vintage book.  Last, but not least I included some tags and tabs to give you an idea how the journaling paper can be used.

I designed these images in Photoshop CC which is an awesome photo editing program and can handle these large image files, huge brush files quite easily and all the layering and color adjustments involved.    The vintage background papers are from a vintage french dictionary and a vintage botany textbook!

Note:   The jpegs for these files will be rather hefty averaging at the largest 6 MB .  Your printing results will vary depending on the type of printer you have and the type of printer paper that you use. As a general rule, the higher the dpi capability of your printer; the better your results.

You can always take them to the nearest Office Depot or Staples (here in the US) to get higher quality printing if you are using these for a special journaling project.  You can send your files via the “interwebs” and pick up your copies later in the day or within 24 hours.

Fall Words Design Inspiration

I hope this freebie  inspires you in your crafting, art journaling, junk journaling  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.  I have been watching a lot of junk journaling videos on Youtube to get an idea on what types of papers might interest you and other junk journalers.   This set was inspired by watching a Youtube video for creating “masterboards” the background pages for a variety of tags and tabs for vintage crafters.

I   am always excited to develop new ideas for  tags  and now papers with a vintage ephemera theme for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting uses.

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from  vintage Photoshop brushes (many that I have designed), ledger paper, vintage french dictionary, vintage botany book and   papers that I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s!

Time Sensitive Offer…

I also would like to mention that Creative Fabrica  (a great graphic resource site and my go to site for many modern graphics and svgs) has ended their July sale but they have a whole new promotion to prepare for Halloween crafting.  They are offering a host of freebies and giveaways, so if you are interested don’t forget to get in on the fun. Also,  Adobe Photoshop is running a huge Back to School Sale  subscription with up to 60% off for Teachers and Students.  You can check the Adobe image on my sidebar to get more details.  This offer will end Sept. 5, 2022.
