Free French Floral Vintage Ephemera Tags Printable

Well, now we are rolling into the weekend and I wanted to help you out with your St. Patrick’s Day crafting with an additional vintage ephemera printable  for this weekend.

I hope this freebie  inspires you in your crafting, art journaling,  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.

These designs are fun to create.  I   have been wanting  to create  some tags with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, journaling, smashbooks and other paper crafting uses.  I am trying to provide a few of these vintage printables as I am able.

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from vintage postcards,  vintage ledger paper, french script, vintage french postmarks  and other sources of vintage ephemera items.

Facts about the Vintage Ephemera Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 9 elements in this printable.    You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks or other types of memory keeping.  This printable is for diy crafts but, of course, can be used in your journals.

This free printable has 9 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ jpg file.  Unfortunately, although I tried to keep the file size smaller, this freebie’s file size is large at approximately 4.72 MB.  These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.  I have made the tags at 2″ x 3″ and spaced them so you can use the white spaces between the cards as a border.  They are slightly smaller than traditional atc cards.

The materials I used were all french vintage  ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

I have also included a 4″ x 4″ image so that you can use as an image transfer on wood or stone coasters using Mod Podge.

*Scissors or slide cutter

*Baker’s Twine or ribbon

*Photo editing software for jpeg files or Silhouette or other digital cutters.

How to Use this  Vintage Ephemera Printable

  • Print and cut out the tags and use them as gift tags, or to label items in your household.
  • Print the coaster image and use with Mod Podge to overlay on wood or stone coasters for your home decor.

Hello peeps.  It’s Friday the thirteenth !  Just wanted to get today’s freebie out to you.

I know you are all probably being impacted by the international news concerning the corana virus outbreak in some way or another.  Being located in California, an area largely impacted by this outbreak,  there is some significant disruption in our area.

So just wanted to keep you updated at this time.

Back to the freebie, to celebrate upcoming St.  Patrick’s Day,  I have provided another image file that you can use as a cut  file.  This is for all you diy crafters.   The image can be used as a cute poster or other type of papercraft as well as what is was designed for, image transfer file for t-shirts or canvas bags.

Here’s the sample mockup  of this image file on a t-shirt , i.e. a tangible product.

 

 

This image file was created for your personal use in your papercraft projects, i.e. scrapbooking, smashbooks, gift cards, and vinyl cutting projects,  etc.

Note: For your information, I will be including an svg file, png file,  and a jpeg with most of the files designed on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ format so that you can use the file on most printers or digital cutters,  and of course they will be bundled in zip file format.   You will need to have the software on your computer to open the zip file  and access your files.

The Silhouette Portrait  Basic Edition can open jpeg & png files whereas most other digital cutters  (i.e. the Cricut Explore )including the Silhouette Cameo with Designer Edition Software can open the svg file format.

You will need access to  photo editing software in order to “mirror” your image if you would like to use the image to transfer it onto a tshirt.

Spring Fling Fauxbonichi Planner Stickers

Hello peeps! Today, I am providing yet another fauxbonichi planner stickers release.   I was thinking Easter bunnies, birdies and flowers with this set.

I picked up this cute graphic set with several doodled images  in bright pink and teal.

These planner stickers are designed for the new “fauxbonichi”.  Just to recap on what a fauxbonichi is…

What is a Fauxbonichi or Happynichi?

The fauxbonichi is a restyled planner to resemble the layout of the popular Hobonichi Techo Weeks planner.  However, it uses Me and My Great Idea’s ( the manufacturer of the Happy Planner) popular “skinny” or  Happy notes planner.  It measures 4.125″ by 9.25″ (the interior pages)  and has 9 discs as the binding, the same as the Classic Happy Planner.

The pages for the fauxbonichi are approximately half the size of the Classic Happy Planner.  Depending on the half sheets you use, and how they are designed, you can use this type of planner as a portable personal planner.  This planner has two great things going for it, it is slimmer, therefore more portable and the discs allow for a greater flexibility for adding or moving the interior pages.

While these planner stickers I am providing today can fit smaller personal planners, they are styled differently from most small stickers.

Sample Fauxbonichi Layout

The following is a sample fauxbonichi hand drawn layout on what it would look like on  a Happy Notes Happy Planner.  It’s a sample of how these stickers might be placed for your happynichi or fauxbonichi.

This was my preliminary layout, I drew the weekly view at 7″ x 3 3/8″ across, Monday thru Sunday on the left-hand side, and blank on the right hand side.  The stickers I provided with this release are designed for this layout.

The Hobonichi Techo Weeks is smaller at 3 3/4″ by 6. 3/4″.   I am getting feedback that many of you are using these smaller stickers for your personal planners.

You might want to reduce the printable by 10 percent or so to actually get them to fit but they are not an exact match.

What Type of Planners Do these Stickers  Fit?

These planner stickers are made for the redesigned Fauxbonichi type of planners.

However, you might want to take a look at the different personal planners mentioned in the following list to see if they will be suitable for your planner.

Different planner binder companies give these smaller size binders different names; but , generally, they are usually as small as a pocket book and can be carried in one’s purse or briefcase:

The page size is usually about 3.75″ x 6.75″  or  95mm by 171 mm as in the “personal” and compact planners by Filofax.

The page size for the Recollections planner is 4″ by 6.75″.

Please note:  These stickers will also fit in a Traveler’s Notebook  which can accommodate filler sheets or inserts  with a horizontal layout that are sized at 4.33″  x  8.25″ or 127 mm x 210mm.

The other planner that these stickers might fit is the Hobonichi Techo Weeks which is 3.7″ x 7.4″

Please keep in mind,  these stickers are much smaller than my usual Erin Condren or Happy Planner stickers!

How small are the stickers?

The full box stickers in this set  are approximately  1.0″ inch in height.  The small circle round stickers are approximately 3/8″  or  1/4″ across.

How to Use this “Fauxbonichi” Planner Stickers Printable:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout  is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter you can cut out the to-do lists or planner stickers using their designer software. ( **Please note:  You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette. I also have redesigned the template so that the margins are within the “registration” area of your silhouette.   You will have to spend some time creating the cutlines for the Silhouette.)

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) The most tedious  (or time consuming) way is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the stickers. Reader’s tip:  If you are cutting by hand, do it while watching TV.

Facts about the freebie:

  • A set of  105+ planner stickers on one 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf files.
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi. Your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color.  The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are sometimes distorted.
  • Color scheme: teal, warm pink
