Hello peeps! If you have been checking out my Instagram or Facebook posts, I have been posting modified #junk journal notebooks.  Of course, in order to fill them with fun pages I needed journal pages that would fit into the notebooks.  So  today, I am providing yet another set to  my latest vintage junk journaling mini kit printables! 

I actually scanned an embroidered linen I have in my vintage linen collection for these printables.     I wanted to help you out with  a set of vintage style junk journal labels  to  jump start  your crafting, art and junk journaling,  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s freebie download. 

Many of the vintage style fonts were sourced from one of my  of my favorite graphic design sites, Creative Fabrica.  Some of the vintage graphiccs were obtained  from a shop called Digital Curio.    In any case, if you follow me on Instagram or on Facebook, I have been recently sharing or will be sharing a variety of junk journals/traveler’s notebooks that I have been creating and I use some of my own designs.

I didn’t add distressing shades or brushes on the individual images, because what I have seen is that different diy crafters have different preferences to the amount of distressing they prefer on their journal items, I will suggest that you take a look at Tim Holtz, distressing inks, if you are interested in what “distressing” with ink is all about.

Facts about the Vintage Junk Journal Kit Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 74+ elements varying from journaling quotes, labels, vintage ephemera strips, etc..  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects or other types of memory keeping.

This free junk journaling mini kit includes: 1)  a set of embroidered rose doily labels  on 8 1/2″ by  11″ jpeg file.   2) A set of labels in pink and green on 5 1/2″ by  8 1/2″ jpeg file  3) A  of vintage ephemera journal page  8 1/2″ by 11″ jpeg file .   I didn’t bundle these files, so you will have to download them individually.  The watermark (if any) will NOT appear on your junk  journal page.

These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.  I used my laser printer to get a crisp and dark print on my images.

My traffic keeps increasing from visitors from all over the world, thank goodness for Google translate!  I hope you don’t mind when I check out your Pinterest boards, and repin some of your pins to my boards, these pins usually provide inspiration for new designs of my own!

How to Use these Embroidered Rose Labels Junk Journal Kit Printables:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout  is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter, such as the Cricut Explore or Maker  you can cut out the  journal kit using their designer software.  Just so you’ll know Cricut has come out with a new Cricut Joy Extra  machine that can accommodate US Letter and A4 paper for print and cut designs.

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock or heavy white printer paper  depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) Another way, (albeit a little time consuming way) is to print out the  stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting. 

Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the straight sides of stickers.  A gracious reader told me she does her fussy cutting while watching TV!  Great tip!
