Hello peeps! Today,  I’m providing this assorted selection of for the “Nautical Adventure” set of vintage ephemera journaling papers printables for your summer junk journaling, or any other season you are thinking of the ocean or  beach.   

Your enthusiasm motivated me to come up with some new ideas and hopefully these journaling  add ons are great assets to add to your paper stash!  So, I designed… (1) large tags (2) collage page  (3) a set of vintage textures (4) nautical stickers .    (Any watermarks are removed in the downloads.). Let me know what you think about these designs in the comments section below, if you have time.

 I designed these images in Photoshop CC which is an awesome photo editing program and can handle these large image files quite easily.  (That’s part of the reason I subscribed to the CC version as soon as I was able.), Photoshop Elements is great as well for handling these files.  I also used Chatgpt and Adobe Firefly for some of the AI generated images.

Your printing results will vary depending on the type of printer you have, as a general rule the higher the dpi that your printer can  print, the clearer your images will be.  You can always take them to the nearest Office Depot or Staples (here in the US) to get higher quality printing if you are using these for a special journaling project.

I hope this freebie  inspires you in your crafting, art journaling, junk journaling  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.

Nautical Journaling Printables Design Inspiration 

I am totally enjoying designing these projects.  I  am always excited to develop new ideas for  tags  and now papers with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, art journaling, junk journaling and other paper crafting use.  I am trying to provide a few of these vintage printables more frequently.  

If you are not into junk or art journaling, you can also pop these into the pockets of A5 planners or Traveler’s Notebooks if you enjoy a vintage aesthetic, as I do.  

Today’s freebie has a lot of source vintage ephemera images from  vintage Photoshop brushes (many that I am designing), ledger entries script, ledger papers,  vintage botanical images I have scanned and other sources of vintage ephemera digital items, some sourced from books published in the 1800s!  Each design requires different Photoshop skill sets, so I enjoy the process and challenge of designing these images.

I thought I would mention that Creative Fabrica  (a great graphic resource site and my go to site for many fonts) is gearing up for another great promotion, they just keep getting better and expanding the kinds of graphics that they are offering, so check them out if you choose.  

Facts about the Vintage  Nautical Ephemera  Journaling Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are four journaling options in this printable.    You can use these elements for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks, junk journals or other types of memory keeping.  This printable is for diy crafts but, of course, can be used in your journals.

This free printable has four journaling printables at 8.5″ by 11″ with assorted add-ons to coordinate or match.  These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.  They can be used in either the Silhouette Cameo or Cricut digital cutters to cut them out or you can use scissors and a slide cutter.  You don’t absolutely need a digital cutter to print, cut and assemble your projects but they’re great tools!

The materials I used were vintage  ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality vintage digital resources.

Materials Needed

*White cardstock or white sticker paper, depending on your final use.  You might consider white matte photo paper as I have included photo images in the journaling cards printable. Other journaling crafters have mentioned Southworth linen/cotton paper for printing journaling papers to get that almost cloth like texture for your paper.

*Vintage inks, such as Tim Holtz  Distress Inkpads, to give the edges a worn, tinted or aged look, if that is your preference.  This process takes off the white edge (distresses) of the journaling cards and journaling spots, if you are using them for junk journaling and gives the paper a subtle, aged and worn  look.  With these inks you control the amount of tinting and color you prefer on your edges.

*Scissors or slide cutter

*Photo editing software (i.e., Photoshop Elements) for jpeg files or Silhouette or other digital cutters.

Hello peeps.  It’s Memorial Day and Monday.   I would like to say thank you to all our armed services men and women for their time and sacrifice for our freedoms.

Today, I decided I would provide a planner stickers layout with a hot pink and navy nautical theme.  I love this color combo.

I have also included a Cricut ready “notebook and coffee cup”  planner stickers set for today.  These are new stickers designs that I have provided.  I hope you like them.

Planner Sticker Specs

These planner stickers are specifically designed for fans of the Erin Condren Planner   (vertical) or similar Week At A Glance Planners  or other horizontal weekly planners such as the Filofax.

The functional planner stickers, especially the box stickers,  are sized to fit  within the vertical columns and boxes specifically for the Erin Condren .

However, you can reduce the printable when you go to print in order to adjust the stickers’ size to fit your specific planner. (Some distortion may occur using this method.)

How to Use this “Planner Stickers” Printable:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions (I have also included some of the cutting tools you will need):

1) The easiest way to use this printout  is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter you can cut out the to-do lists or planner stickers using their designer software. ( **Please note:  You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette. I also have redesigned the template so that the margins are within the “registration” area of your silhouette.

You will have to spend some time creating the cutlines for the silhouette  but this should make creating the cutfile a lot easier.)

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) The most tedious  (or time consuming) way is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.

Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the stickers.  For the curvy cuts (i.e. around words), you might like the Gyro-cut tool.

Hello planner peeps and Happy Friday!   It’s another weekend coming up soon, so I hope you are excited about the weekend and are ready for your  next “pretty planning” session in your Happy Planner.   Today, I am releasing  a  “nautical ” themed planner stickers  set made specifically for  Happy Planners by Me and My Big Ideas.

These planner stickers are specifically designed for fans of the MAMBI Happy Planner   (vertical) or similar Week At A Glance Planners  or other vertical weekly planners such as the  Plum Paper Planner or Erin Condren Life Planner.  The functional planner stickers, especially the box stickers,  are sized to fit  within the vertical columns and boxes specifically for the Happy Planner. Keep in mind that the full boxes are  sized at 1/4″ taller than your vertical boxes for the Erin Condren Planner and sometimes the designs can not be cut down for your Erin Condren.  A new planner that many of you are using these stickers for is the Passion Planner, so I thought I would mention that as well.

Here’s a sample of the printable printed out on heavy printer paper (about 20# bond – 92 bright) with my Epson Artisan 810 on regular setting.
