Free Vintage St. Patrick’s Day Journaling Cards Printable

This post may contain affiliate links. I may receive a commission, at no cost to you, when you choose to use the links provided. See the Disclosure Policy for more information.

Today, I am releasing a pocket scrapbooking or journaling cards freebie  for St. Patrick’s  Day.  I used to design these a little more often years ago and as I was editing some of my former blog posts, I thought I would create this type of printable for you.

I also included a coordinating mini size envelope printable and tab and tags printable as well!   I am providing these journaling printables for St. Patrick’s Day and to give a little shout out to the Irish  for their lace design inspiration.   My mother and grandmother were avid fans of crochet designs, knitting and embroidery.  Every time they were able to get together, they would discuss how to achieve or master a popular design.  My mother was a lot more skilled than my grandmother (sorry Nana!) and she would often sell her creations for the ladies auxiliary group of her church.  I wasn’t as appreciative of the work that went into this type of craft as I am now.

I included a little bit of that inspiration in my design. Here’s a little excerpt from the Heritage Council of Ireland regarding the origins of Irish lace.

“Lace was first produced in Ireland from the 1730s. It was a highly skilled and very delicate craft, and was promoted by Irish aristocrats such as Lady Arabella Denny, the famous philanthropist, who used social and political connections to support the new industry and promote the sale of Irish lace abroad. The skill soon spread beyond Dublin to the poorest parts of the country, and proved a popular means for young women to help support their families. Lace-making required little equipment beyond bobbins and fine cotton or linen thread, and a great deal of patience, so was suitable for remote parts of the country that had little industry and few employment options.”

So, there are multiple uses for these printables.   Choose one or all…it’s up to your crafting needs and desire.  Enjoy!

Well, now we are rolling into the weekend and I wanted to help you out with your St. Patrick’s Day crafting with a vintage ephemera printable this weekend.  I hope this freebie  inspires you in your crafting, art journaling,  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s vintage freebie.

I  have been wanting  to create  some tabs and labels with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, journaling, smashbooks and other paper crafting uses.  It’s been awhile since I have provided these to you; so, I’m excited with this release.

Today’s freebie has a lot of vintage ephemera from vintage postcards,  vintage garden book pages and other sources of vintage ephemera items.

Facts about the Vintage Ephemera Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 22 elements varying from  atc cards, tabs, inchies, and circles.    As always, they can either be used for journaling in your traveler’s notebook projects, smashbooks or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has 22 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.  Unfortunately, although I tried to keep the file size smaller, this freebie’s file size is really large at approximately 36 MB.  These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.

The materials I used were all vintage ephemera scanned at a very high resolution and other high quality digital resources, so I believe this contributed to the larger file size .  Hopefully, you own a modern computer and internet connection that can make the download easier for you.  Enjoy!

Sample Layout

To give you a little inspiration boost, I am providing some of these stickers on a vintage traveler’s notebook layout below…

March Monthly Layout – Happy Planner

This post may contain affiliate links. I may receive a commission, at no cost to you, when you choose to use the links provided. See the Disclosure Policy for more information.

Hello peeps…It is now March.  So, I wanted to get this monthly layout planner stickers to get you ready for the new month ahead before it vanishes.

Today, I am releasing this month’s  monthly planner stickers for the Classic Happy Planner.

I  used this  cute  graphic paper with with a variety of greens   and a little splash of gold for these monthly layout planner stickers.

In any case, via a reader’s tip, I left off the year and month’s name on this freebie  and I have provided another printable with the month and year, so you have an option between both.

These planner stickers are specifically designed for fans of the Classic Happy Planner  by Mambi or similar Week At A Glance Planners  or other weekly planners such as the  Plum Paper Planner that have wider boxes for the monthly spread.

The functional planner stickers, especially the box stickers,  are sized to fit  within the monthly calendar boxes specifically for the monthly spread of the  Classic Happy Planner.

However, there are several resizing instructions on Pinterest on what percent to print this printable  in order to resize the printable for personal planners with smaller dimensions.

Also, if you are new to this site, I wanted to let you know  that I have a board on Pinterest  that  you might want to follow that has several pins (ideas) by other planner designers, stationery, home office decor,  office supplies and planner freebies that are mostly planner related, you can view that board and/or follow here,  Home Office | Planners & Stationery Favs.

Thank you to all who have followed me on Pinterest.  In a hurry? Would you consider repinning this to your Pinterest board?

There are  more than 90+ planner stickers or  elements total in today’s release.    As always, these stickers and elements  can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping and papercrafting but these were made specifically for you Erin Condren Planner and Filofax fans.

Note  ***Please see my Terms of Use below before downloading if you have not to been to this site before.***

How to Use this “ Monthly Planner Stickers” Printable:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout  is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter you can cut out the to-do lists or planner stickers using their designer software. ( **Please note:  You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette. I also have redesigned the template so that the margins are within the “registration” area of your silhouette.   You will have to spend some time creating the cutlines for the silhouette  but this should make creating the cutfile a lot easier.)

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) The most labor intensive  (or time consuming) way is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the stickers.  Reader tip:  Cut them while watching TV.  Woot-Hoo…multi-tasking.

Facts about the freebie:

  • One  sheet of HP functional planner stickers on  an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color.  The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are sometimes distorted.
  • Color scheme:  variety of greens

As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)  If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick  TOU below before you access the printable.
