Country Kitchen Journaling Elements – Free Printable

Hi, I hope you had a nice weekend!  Yes, it’s officially now fall and so, I decided to design some journaling elements that reflect the warm, autumn colors that are probably surrounding you when you venture outdoors.

I thought a freebie that had a warm “Country Kitchen”  color scheme as you see in the picture below might add a welcome change to the customary pinks, blues and similar colors in some of my other freebies.

But, it was difficult coming up with some ideas until I started thinking about one of my favorite desserts during this season…pumpkin pie.  Yum, Yum, Yum!  So, that’s how I came up with the kitchen theme.  This freebie has my version of vintagey distressed backgrounds, a few tags, and circle labels.

Also, I found some great vintage images of 1920s or so fashionable ladies whose fashions might have been advertised in the Ladies’ Home Journal.  I’m not sure, but their dresses coordinated great with the backgrounds I used for this freebie!

Facts about the Country Kitchen Journaling Elements

As for the details about the freebie, there are 20 elements varying from 3″ x 2″ labels, tags, circle labels and gingham style banners.  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journaling or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has 20 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.  This freebie’s file size is  a little large at approximately 6.35 MB.  The elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp.  Do keep in mind though that I did distress the labels, so you will see that effect in your printout.

Shabby Chic Floral II Journaling Elements – Free Printable

Hi, as the weekend rolls in again…just wanted to prepare you for today’s freebie.    I  have been wanting  to create  some labels similar to the first version of Shabby Chic Floral Journaling Elements that I had created  previously.

So, today’s freebie is similar to my first floral elements but with a teal, cream and peachy pink color scheme as well as vintage roses and other florals and of course,  a variety of other elements.  I really had fun creating the floral dresses and this freebie turned out very shabby chic and very feminine.

As for the details about the freebie, there are 22 elements varying from vintage Dennison- like labels, floral tickets, patterned labels measuring 3″ x 2″ and vintage ephemera circle labels which measure approximately 1.3 inches in diameter.  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journaling or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has 22 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.  This freebie’s file size is  large at approximately 4.61 MB.  The elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp.

Hello, I hope you had a great weekend and you are revved up for today’s journaling cards and journaling elements freebie.  This week’s inspiration comes from the colors of the rainbow, with so much rain falling in so many areas of the country, I thought it might be nice to have a colorful and cheery freebie.

I tried to include a few tab designs because I see that some of my followers have expanded to using some of  my printables for smashbooks, planners and journaling while others use them for Project Life or mixed media and altered art.  It doesn’t matter, let your creativity guide you to the best use.

As for the details about the freebie, there are 25 elements varying from circle labels, rounded corner “inchie” tabs, journaling cards and date elements.  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects or other types of memory keeping or the uses mentioned above.

This free printable has 25 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.  The file size is approximately  300KB.  They were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp. I designed most of the clip art and other elements.

How to Use this “Journaling Cards” Printable:

There are a few ways you can use this printable to create your journaling cards and elements and I have included a few tips in the following instructions:

  1. The easiest way to use this printable is to print it out on a full sheet of white cardstock and if you own a Silhouette Portrait or a Silhouette Cameo or other digital cutter( i.e. Cricut) you can cut out the journaling cards and journaling elements using their designer software. ( **Please note: You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette.) There are several pdf to jpg converters online if your software just can’t open a pdf. You will have to spend some time creating the cutlines for the silhouette but this should make creating the cutfile and cutting it out a lot easier.
  2. The most labor intensive (or time consuming) way is to print out the journaling cards or journaling elements on 65 lb. white cardstock and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors or a slide paper trimmer  to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.
