Blog Update – New Website Changes

Hey blog followers and visitors.

Are you still on track with your New Year goals?

In the next few days, I’ll be crossing off one of those items off my list.  Yay.

I’m just popping in to let you know that you will be seeing some changes on my website in the next few days.

I’m changing my website theme and I’m letting you know ahead of time, so that there are no surprises.

I don’t want you to feel that you arrived at the wrong website and assume that I was potentially hacked, and bounce away.

Unfortunately, that did happen a year and a few months ago.  But not to worry, I switched from Bluehost Pro hosting  and have changed my hosting to Managed Web Hosting, so that you can be secure that your visits here will not be disrupted.  Hopefully, it’s also improving the speed at which my site loads and your website experience.

I often recommend the Genesis themes and I am upgrading to one of them. I’ll be sharing a little  more about the change in the future.

What will you be seeing with this new theme?

  • Big, Ginormous pictures. This is my favorite update. So you get to see my freebies in eye popping  color.
  • Same black and white theme with pops of color throughout.
  • Fonts that are a lot more legible.
  • My logo, especially if you came to this site from Pinterest, you will see it up on top. The large header will be gone.
  • Better sign up box.
  • Better navigation and hopefully improved speed.
  • Better mobile responsive site. There are a lot of you that use your mobile phones or ipads to view my blog, I’m trying to streamline that viewing process for you.

I’m hoping that these changes improve your experience with my site and keep you coming back.

Please bear with me, if some things get a little wonky in the process.

Blog Update – Tech Upgrade and CCPA

Hello blog fans and blog followers,

As the new year approaches , on January  1, 2020 the state of California via the California Consumer Protection Act,  is requiring online publishers  and websites to provide additional disclosures and information regarding the privacy rights  of our visitors and how information is tracked. 

While this blog, Vintageglamstudio, has tried to be as completely transparent as the law allows,  and has provided a Disclosure policy that discusses consumer  information use of this site, you may see additional “opt-out” features when you visit this site in the near future.

In order to get ready, to comply with all these updates and the law’s requirements, ( this business is located in California),  you may see a few occasions when this site is down during the weekend or you have difficulty accessing resources.

We are also  upgrading our hosting in order to improve your overall user experience.

Unfortunately, sometimes a few glitches occur as those improvements are made.

I am asking that you bear with us as we get this site ready for California’s new compliance laws and improved user experience for you.

Merry Christmas and Season’s Greetings

Just wanted to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings  from southern California.

There aren’t many evergreen trees around here except maybe, in the mountains, where Southern California also gets a little snow.

So, I thought I would share a holiday image that represents all the palm trees that are so prevalent here– Lit up of course, for the holidays.
