Hello blog followers and vintage lovers, just wanted to let you know that being a Solopreneur sounds exciting—and it is—but people don’t always talk about the hiccups that come with doing everything yourself. When you’re the entire operation, from creator to tech support to customer service, even a small setback can feel like a major slowdown. Case in point: my laptop recently crashed, and just like that, everything paused.

No content creation, no editing, no uploads—just a hard stop. It’s one of those moments that reminds you how much your workflow depends on a single piece of equipment.  Those of you that have been with me for awhile, know how many laptops I’ve crashed and wouldn’t you know it, just  when I’m ready to provide additional goodies my laptop crashes.

Now I’m in that in-between phase, waiting on a new purchase and the shipping timeline, which isn’t exactly ideal when you’re trying to stay consistent and keep momentum going. (Actually it arrived yesterday) But this is part of the reality of building something on your own. There’s no IT department to call, no backup system magically kicking in (unless you’ve planned ahead really well), and no team to pick up the slack. It’s you figuring it out in real time.  I am now upgrading my brand spanking new MacBook and loading all my software and fonts and pulling down designs from the cloud that I had created before everything crashed.

That said, setbacks like this don’t mean everything falls apart—they just shift the pace for a bit. I’m using this time to think, plan, and refine ideas on my phone,  so that when everything is back up and running, I can hit the ground with even better content. Sometimes these forced pauses can actually be useful, even if they’re frustrating in the moment. I am also getting additional training in a variety of new AI tools and how they will coordinate  and improve  my new workflow.  I’ll be sharing more about that in the very near future.

Still, I won’t pretend it’s all smooth—it’s inconvenient, it tests your patience, and it can feel like you’re falling behind. But that’s also where resilience comes in. Solopreneurs learn pretty quickly that progress isn’t always a straight line. There are stops, starts, delays, and unexpected detours.

So if you’ve been wondering why things might seem a little quieter or slower right now, that’s the honest behind-the-scenes. I’m in the middle of upgrading and waiting for the tools I need to keep delivering the quality you expect. And while I’d prefer everything to be instant, this is just part of the journey. The goal hasn’t changed—still focused on creating solid, valuable content—but sometimes the timeline adjusts. Appreciate the patience, and trust that when things are back in motion, it’ll be worth the wait.
