Hope you had a great weekend and are surviving and adjusting to the time change on the clock. I have a hard time adjusting to the darker and longer evenings, so I thought I would design some journaling cards and elements with a muted sunny color scheme: yellow, soft gray, and muted teal, sort of the color of lemon merinque pie on some teal dinnerware.
I will probably return to an autumn color theme within the next week, since we are getting close to Thanksgiving and a lot of harvest themes are coming to mind! And yes, I am already indulging in pumpkin pie, on occasion, with a creamy dollop of whipped cream!
As for this freebie, I added a lot of feminine or floral patterns and elements to this journaling freebie set; damask, polka dots, etc., but I still incorporated some grids and lined paper.
As for the details about the freebie, there are 23 elements in all. You have four journaling cards (3″ x 4″), 3 circle labels, 7 word snippets with a few blank ones and several elements as well. As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping.
Facts about the freebie:
- This free printable has 23 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.
- The file size is 2.96 MB.
- These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color. The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are often distorted. I have included a couple of photo-realistic buttons in the elements.
- Color scheme: yellow, soft gray, muted teal, white
Thank You for all your Pinterest and other social media pins…
I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank yous” and the legitimate “link love”. I know you don’t always have time to leave a comment because you are busy, so I really appreciate it when blog visitors take the time to either like or comment.
Thank you for your pins on Pinterest as well as Facebook links. I also appreciate mentions in your blogs with appropriate link backs and active links.
I hope you don’t mind when I check out your Pinterest boards, and repin some of your pins to some of my Pinterest boards, these pins usually provide inspiration for new designs of my own! You guys and gals often find things I don’t often run into and it just serves to expand and generate new ideas.
As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.) If you have been here before, you know the drill. If not, you might want to read the quick TOU below before you access the printable.

Most of my elements are made from commercial use or public domain sources, however if any designer feels their copyright has been infringed upon the freebie will promptly be removed and the freebie will no longer be available. Designers vary in their restrictions for their terms of use (even for CU items), so although I try to be scrupulous, I may miss some. Digital paper from Valerianne Digital on Etsy.

I’m sorry I am not familiar with the Cricut Explorer. I only own the Silhouette Cameo. You might want to check out a few videos on Youtube regarding the Cricut and you can find out what might be causing the problem with your Cricut. Hope that helps.
