Free Digital Embellishments – Whimsical Flair

Here is the latest digital embellishment freebie, for your digital or hybrid crafting use. These flair were made from the digital designs I released a couple of months of ago which seem to be pretty popular. Thanks to all my visitors.

If you have visited this blog before you will know that, I really like the color scheme black, white and red. I created the original files in a pdf freebie. So, I decided to create matching flair. They are created at 300 dpi and measure approximately 1″ in diameter (300 px by 300 px). They are created for personal use only.

Just like the other embellishments I made, I got so excited that I went beyond creating the embellishments and created the packaging as well…it’s getting pretty standard.

Details About the images:

*All images are made at 300 dpi so the digital files will usually be very large.

*Most will be .png files (transparent backgrounds) so that you can layer them on to your scrapbooking backgrounds or photos. Not for S4H, S4O or CU use.

*Most elements will not include a drop shadow, as I will leave that up to you to add one if you like. They are included only in the preview images.

*I will be providing these elements with the assumption that you know how to use either Photoshop Elements, the open source photo editing program GIMP, Photoshop, or other photo editing software. While I would like to offer support for these digital files, this is currently just a hobby and not my full time business.

*Most of my elements will be made from purchased commercial use or public domain resources, however if any designer feels their copyright has been infringed upon due to inappropriate final use, the freebie will promptly be removed and the freebie will no longer be available. (I try to be scrupulous about what resources I use, but I may miss some.)

Free Printable Download – Memorial Day Cupcake Toppers and Flags

Oh, so sorry, I was a little turned around on the dates for Memorial Day this year. I had forgotten that the holiday is the last Monday of the month which is just around the corner. So here it is… this cupcake toppers freebie blends the traditional red, white and blue with vintage themes.

I had made it originally as cupcake toppers for those fabulous cupcakes you will be baking for the holiday. However, you might be able to use them for other purposes.

There are 18 elements in all, including an image of George Washington from a vintage postcard. You can fold the flags in half and clip the ends to make them in a pennant fashion or just leave as is. I have found that scrapbooking tacky tape works best, but you might have a better idea!

There are veterans in my family and we wish all our troops a happy and safe homecoming. Thank you for your service! Have fun with all your Memorial Day picnics or just taking the day off!

Whimsical Journaling Cards – Free Printable

It’s time for a new freebie! This time I used a black, white and red color scheme and loaded it with 4 whimsical journaling cards and other elements–a total of 12 elements on an 8 1/2 by 11″ page.

It’s a pdf file and was created at 300 dpi. It kind of has a doodled effect to the design which was what I was aiming for when I first stumbled onto the design idea.

The lines on the journaling cards are not perfectly aligned, I was aiming for whimsical and not the typical ocd linear inclination I tend to have. ( I was thrilled to be able to actually design the ladybug myself, since I am constantly trying to improve my design skills.)
