SVG Cut File – Easter Word art

Hello peeps!  I wanted to wish you all a very Happy Easter.  With this holiday in mind, I am releasing a holiday “word art” cut file to use for your projects.  I hope I give you enough time for  your last minute Easter projects.

Just so you’ll know,  I  have my own Pinterest board for Silhouette DIY Crafts |“Silhouette Cameo & Cut Files” that has a  lot of awesome pins showcasing free cut files from other experienced bloggers and crafters on the ‘net.  There are pins of really sophisticated designs on my board as well as basic ones and new pins for the new release of Silhouette Cameo Designer Studio  & also Cricut Explore.

Here’s the sample mockup  of this cut file on a canvas tote bag, i.e. a tangible product.

Happy Easter Cut File

This cut file was created for your personal use in your papercraft projects, i.e. scrapbooking, smashbooks, gift cards, and vinyl cutting,  etc.

cut file - happy easter

For your information, I will be including an svg file, png file,  and a jpeg with most of the files designed on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ format so that you can use the file on most printers or digital cutters,  and of course they will be bundled in zip file format.  The Silhouette Portrait  Basic Edition can open jpeg & png files whereas most other digital cutters including the Silhouette Cameo with Designer Edition Software can open the svg file format.

Facts about this freebie :

  • 1 cut file design on 8 1/2″ x 11″ format – files included are SVG, PNG & JPEG
  • All files will be delivered in zip format.
  • Files will vary in size depending on the original source files.
  • Files are saved  and will be accessible from an external site for now.
  • You must have the software in order to open the files (i.e. photo editing software or Silhouette Portrait or Cameo, or other types of digital cutters)
  • I would appreciate any constructive feedback on how these files  work for you, so please share a comment, so that I can tweak the digital cut files that I offer.

My expression of gratitude for all your Pinterest and other social media pins…

I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank yous” and the legitimate “link love” and all the kind comments from people around the world.   I have been nearly overwhelmed with the positive response from blog followers and blog visitors.

As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)  If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick  TOU below before you access the printable.

Some things you should know before downloading:

* Vintage Glam Studio cut files are for PERSONAL USE ONLY.
*You may not re-sell, redistribute, or claim the original or derivative designs as your own.
*Please do not remove the watermark or modify the design in any way other than for your own Personal use.
*If you post this on the internet, please give credit to Vintage Glam Studio & link back to my blog, so others can obtain the resources.  Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook are great social media sharing platforms, it’s the sharing without a link back to the blog that can be a problem.

Limited Commercial Use

In the interest of promoting small business this file has a LIMITED COMMERCIAL USE for tangible, physical items that you may produce for sale such as mugs, pillows, t-shirts  and/or t-shirt for sales up to 500 items.   However, the selling of the files in any digital format (printable, pdf, svg file)  or as a print is prohibited by  Vintage Glam Studio’s copyright.

Celebrate Word Art – Free Digital Element

The holiday weekend is rolling in… and if you are looking for a bright red and sparkly word element for your  Fourth of July digital or hybrid scrapbooking , you just might like these.

I hope you have a happy and safe  Fourth of July with your loved ones.

Click on the picture below for the previous post that will take you to the download link.

A note about the images:

*All images are made at 300 dpi so the digital files will usually be very large digital files.

*Most will be .png files (transparent backgrounds) so that you can layer them on to your backgrounds or photos.

*Most elements will not include a drop shadow, as I will leave that up to you to add one if you like.

*I will be providing these elements with the assumption that you know how to use either Photoshop Elements, the open source photo editing program GIMP, Photoshop, or other photo editing software.  While I would like to offer support for these digital files, this is currently just a hobby and not my full time business.

*Most of my elements will be made from Commercial use or public domain sources, however if any designer feels their copyright has been infringed upon the freebie will promptly be removed and the freebie will no longer be available.  (I try to be scrupulous about what resources I use, but I may miss some.)

Please credit Vintage Glam Studio if you repost to another site. Pins are appreciated.:)

The word art is stored on an external storage site. To access the file, click on the image and right-click and “Save As” on Microsoft Windows.

5 Whimsical Free Fonts for Valentine’s Day DIY Crafts

If you are contemplating making any DIY crafts for Valentine’s day, (whether it’s greetings cards, tags or labels),  it helps to have great fonts in your decorating arsenal.  I have compiled the following whimsical free fonts from a great online site resource  for free fonts.

The styles vary and the terms provided for their use by the font author varies; however, all those that were selected for this blog post are free for personal or commercial use.  These fonts (or typography, if you want to get technical) are all from the same site or font foundry, Dafont.

Selecting Your Font

The font designer usually provides a visual template of how each letter of the alphabet will look, or if there are any characters that are missing or not included in the font file,  for example, punctuation or other symbols.  They also include information as to whether the font can be used for personal or commercial use or whether they are requesting a donation.

The Dafont site has a cool feature that allows you to print the word phrase to preview just what your greeting card, tag or label might look like with the word phrase you have chosen.

All these fonts were located under the Holiday > Valentine’s section; however, there are hundreds  more available. The whole site has literally thousands of fonts.  They have sans serif fonts, serif fonts and script fonts available for your use.

I selected these because they were the most decorative (and they were searched as to the most popular) for the holiday, but I would suggest you check out the site for additional cute or romantic fonts that would suit your style or fancy.

2.  Fatty Heartfatty-heart-font3. Heartland

4.Times New Romance

5. Queen of Hearts

The font files are downloaded via a zipped file and it will contain a font file usually ending with the suffix .TTF.

The instructions for the  installation of the font files vary per computer but they are not that difficult. If you have a Windows Vista operating system or a Mac, usually it requires just dragging and dropping the saved .TTF file into your fonts folder on your computer.

Otherwise, you might want to check your system’s operating “Help” file to find out how to install your fonts.

Once you get familiar with the site, and adept at loading your fonts the trick will be to see if you can stop at only one!

Update:  11/15/2022. Through a reader’s tip, the following website is also a great recommendation for getting great fonts in 2022,  70+ Best Free Fonts for Designers – Free for Commercial Use in 2022.
