Hello peeps! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to my blog followers and visitors.  Well, today I am providing an update on my latest vintage junk journaling mini kit printables!  I have been watching several  junk journaling vids on Youtube and that inspired me to try my hand at this project and see what I can come up with.   I wanted to help you out a little with a vintage ephemera junk journal mini kit printable set to  jump start  your crafting, art journaling,  and/or scrapbooking time with today’s freebie download.

It has been awhile since I last created this type of freebie which is loaded with  vintage ephemera  and embellished with  vintage Photoshop brushes that I own or have created and already have in my stash.

Today’s freebie was created from a variety of vintage ephemera-some made into Photoshop brushes and other’s are just png files of these images  sourced from vintage paper items scanned at a high dpi or great graphic sites that make these public domain images available.  Of course, this is a second set that coordinates with my most recent post.

I didn’t add distressing shades or brushes on the individual images, because what I have seen is that different diy crafters have different preferences to the amount of distressing they prefer on their junk journal items, I will suggest that you take a look at Tim Holtz, distressing inks, if you are interested in what “distressing” with ink is all about.

Facts about the Vintage Junk Journal Kit Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 26+ elements varying from tabs, pocket cards, quotes and an 8 1/2 by 11 journaling page..  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has 1)  a junk journal page  on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ jpeg file  2) A set of journaling tabs on a 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ jpeg file and 3) a png with St. Patrick’s Day phrases for your Cricutor Silhouette crafting. I didn’t bundle these files into a zip file , so you will have to download them individually.

These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.

The materials I used were all vintage ephemera scanned at a very high resolution.    Enjoy!

Latest Project I’m Working on…

I don’t always get a chance to share little tips on what I am working on.  The following is a photo of my from my mini herb garden outside on my patio!  I thought I would share this photo because it’s almost the first day of Spring and I thought this pic was so fitting for today’s post…

Thanks for Your Social Media Repins

I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank you’s” and the legitimate “link love”.  Thank you for your pins on Pinterest as well as a few Facebook links.  I also appreciate mentions in your blogs with appropriate link backs and active links.

My traffic keeps increasing from visitors from all over the world, thank goodness for Google translate!  I hope you don’t mind when I check out your Pinterest boards, and repin some of your pins to my boards, these pins usually provide inspiration for new designs of my own!  Check out my Pinterest board, if you like and give me a follow!

As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)  If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick  TOU below before you access the printable.

How to Use these Junk Journal Kit Printables:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout  is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter, such as the Cricut Explore or Maker  you can cut out the  journal kit using their designer software.

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock or heavy white printer paper  depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) Another way, (albeit a little time consuming way) is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the straight sides of stickers.

Today’s freebie was created from a variety of vintage ephemera-some made into Photoshop brushes and other’s are just png files of these images  sourced from vintage paper items scanned at a high dpi. I made these with the color theme used by many of  Tim Holtz’ vintage Idea-ology products.  Of course, this is my first go round with this product, so on to giving you the info as to what you are getting in this freebie.

I didn’t add distressing shades or brushes on the individual images, because what I have seen is that different diy crafters have different preferences to the amount of distressing they prefer on their journal items, I will suggest that you take a look at Tim Holtz, distressing inks, if you are interested in what “distressing” with ink is all about.

Facts about the Vintage Junk Journal Kit Freebie

As for the details about the freebie, there are 14+ elements varying from tabs, pocket cards, quotes and an 8 1/2 by 11 journaling page..  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has 1)  a junk journal page  on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ jpeg file.   2) A set of journaling tags on a 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ jpeg file.  I didn’t bundle these files, so you will have to download them individually.  The watermark will NOT appear on your junk  journal page.

These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.

The materials I used were all vintage ephemera scanned at a very high resolution.  Hopefully, you own a modern computer and internet connection that can make the download easier for you.  Enjoy!

I don’t always get a chance to share little tips on what I am working on.  The following is a photo of my tea dyed reinforcement labels, that I then stamped on with clear stamps (placed on acrylic blocks) and used black ink!  The photo also includes an envelope I made with the green vintage wallpaper provided in today’s freebie…

( **Please note:  You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette. I also have redesigned the template so that the margins are within the “registration” area of your silhouette.   You will have to spend some time creating the cutlines for the silhouette  but this should make creating the cutfile a lot easier.) I have provided jpegs to resolve this problem.

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock or heavy white printer paper  depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

planner dashboard

Hello peeps!  We are now in the month of March and you can feel the weather warming up and of course,  spring is now approaching.  It’s getting lighter outside and the trees outside my window are sprouting leaves and tiny flower buds are beginning to form.  I think one of the trees is a cherry tree so the blossoms are a lovely pink!

I wanted to get these St. Patrick’s Day A5 and personal planner dashboards out to you.   I usually pick up my planner graphics as part of a Monday  Creative Fabrica special. Every Monday they discount several graphics and fonts for prices as low as one dollar each USD, which is a phenomenal price!  Many graphics and fonts also allow commercial use and the sale lasts for at least a week.  I built up my font stash buying at these great sales and I recently purchased their subscription about one year ago!

The colors in these graphics are super vibrant and glitter textures are lovely; however, my  pictures below do not do them justice as I have to compress them and it strips them of their vibrancy and fabulous texture.  You can see the vibrancy by clicking through to the originals on my Google Drive. Hope you like the digital paper I designed them from!

This planner insert  is specifically designed for fans of the Carpe Diem Planner by Simple Stories or other A5 planners.  Or  the pages can be used in the Classic Happy Planner as planner inserts by using the Mambi punch and popping the pages right into your  Classic Happy planner.

The size of the planner inserts are 148 mm x 210 mm or 5.83″ by 8.27″, your standard A5 page.

The size for the Personal planner insert is 3.75″ by 6.75″.

I also included a set of vintage labels with these cute St. Patrick’s Day gnomes.

Also, if you are new to this site, I wanted to let you know  that I have a board on Pinterest  that  you might want to follow that has several pins (ideas) by other planner designers, stationery, home office decor,  office supplies and planner freebies that are mostly planner related, you can view that and/or follow here,  Home Office | Planners & Stationery Favs.

There are  more than 3 separate freebies total in today’s release.     As always, these stickers and/or printables  can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping and papercrafting but these were made specifically for A5 planner fans.

Note**Please see my Terms of Use below before downloading if you have not to been to this site before.**

How to Use this “ Planner Dashboard” Printables :

There are several ways you can use this printable to cut out these freebies and I have included a few tips in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printable is to print it out on a full sheet of white cardstock and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter you can cut out the to-do lists or planner inserts using their designer software.  If you need to convert the pdf file, there are many online converters that will convert the files from pdfs to jpegs.

2)  For the planner dashboard, it would be ideal if you printed it on glossy or matte  photo paper so that the watercolor, glitter or foil texture will show up clearly.  However, simple cardstock will do.  If you own a laminator, laminating the dashboard and then hole punching it will improve it’s wear.

3)  Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which makes cutting a straight line easier, rather than using scissors.

Facts about the Planner Dashboard freebies:

  • One 5.5″ x 8.5″ jpg file – labels (1.9 MB)
  • One 5.8″ x 8.3″ jpg file. (3.3 MB)
  • One 3.75″ x 6.75″ jpg file. ( 1.1 MB)
  • One 4″ x 6″ mini sheet (1.1 MB)
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color.  The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are sometimes distorted.
  • Color scheme:  black, white, gold glitter, green

As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)  If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick  TOU below before you access the printable.

Some things you should know before downloading:

* Vintage Glam Studio printables are for PERSONAL USE ONLY.
*You MAY NOT RESELL, redistribute, or claim the original or derivative (redesigned from the original) designs as your own.  These are not to be resold on on-demand sites such as Spoonflower, Redbubble or Zazzle.
*Please do not remove the watermark or modify the design in any way other than for your own Personal use.
*If you post this on the internet, please give credit to Vintage Glam Studio & link back to my blog (www.vintageglamstudio.com), so others can obtain the resources.  Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook are great social media sharing platforms, it’s the  sharing without a link back that can be a problem.
