New Year’s Journaling Elements – Free Printable

10, 9, 8… 7, 6, 5…Well, we are definitely into the countdown as the year 2013  comes to an end and we quickly transition into 2014.  So, I wanted to design a few project life New Year’s  journaling elements that you can use as a review for this year.  I hope it has been great!  I used a blue and grey color scheme with these elements because I’m still thinking about winter and cool colors and I still have the “snow falling” activated on this blog.

However, here in Southern California it has been lovely warm weather for the past week!  Go figure.  In any case, I have been trying to concentrate on plans for new blog posts for the coming year so we’ll see what we can provide for your crafting needs. Have a Happy New Year!

As for the details about the freebie, there are 14 elements in all.  You have four journaling cards (3″ x 4″) and a few more elements as well.  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping.

Facts about the freebie:

  • This free printable has 14 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.
  • The file size is less than MB.
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color.  The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are often distorted.
  • Color scheme: blue, white, grey

Thank You for all your Pinterest and other social media pins…

I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank yous” and the legitimate “link love”.   I have been nearly overwhelmed with the positive response from blog followers and blog visitors.

I have been busy this month with holiday celebrations and posting less often; but even so, you all made December a record month!  Thank you!  again and again.  Wishing you the best for the 2014.

Thank you for your pins on Pinterest as well as Facebook links.  I also appreciate mentions in your blogs with appropriate link backs and active links.  Many of you have been kind enough to feature some of my designs and your blogs and have contributed to the increased traffic.

I hope you don’t mind when I check out your Pinterest boards, and repin some of your pins to some of my Pinterest boards, these pins usually provide inspiration for new designs of my own!  You guys and gals often find things I don’t often run into and it just serves to expand and generate new ideas.

As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)  If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick  TOU below before you access the printable.

* Vintage Glam Studio printables (formerly under the name Vintage Glam Collectibles) are for PERSONAL USE ONLY. (I own the domains for both names and will be dedicating this blog to more design related articles and printables. Don’t be concerned if you have posted it under the previous name, my traffic boost is contributing to the name change.)

*Please do not remove the watermark or modify the design in any way other than for your own Personal use.
*If you post this on the internet, please give credit to Vintage Glam Studio & link back to my blog, so others can obtain the resources.  Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook are great social media sharing platforms, it’s the  sharing without a link back that can be a problem.

Most of my elements are made from commercial use or public domain sources, however if any designer feels their copyright has been infringed upon the freebie will promptly be removed and the freebie will no longer be available.  Designers vary in their restrictions for their terms of use (even for CU items), so although I try to be scrupulous, I may miss some.

Free Digital Embellishments – Vintage Brads

There is nothing so cool and refreshing like the color blue, and in this hot weather that we are currently experiencing in So Cal, I thought I would switch to a new color scheme.  The color of the sky, the ocean and your backyard pool…Aaaah!…I am cooling down already.

As for the specific color scheme, I went for a light, turquoise blue (or Tiffany Blue), grey and white, another of my color favorites.  So, this time I got a little over ambitious in designing these elements, and I am including up to six digital elements. I believe,  I am getting a little faster at designing these elements so that is why I had quite a few available. (I guess that means my skills are improving.)

Facts about the Freebies

As for the elements, they are approximately from  1″ to 2″  in size  and have been designed at 300 dpi.  The two brads are only 1/2″ in diameter.    All my elements are saved at  a printable  high resolution of 300 dpi, and are stored on my Photobucket account,  images on my blog are usually at 72dpi to 100 dpi resolution.

I’m sorry for making you go through the extra work to examine the items; however, I am trying to discourage copying of my images without credit due.  I appreciate the good sports who have credited me on their Pinterest boards and Facebook accounts, this kind of sharing is always encouraged!;)

And to access the elements, you will need to click on the jpeg’s below to access the .png files on Photobucket.

Note About TOU:

As usual these are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.) If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick TOU before you access the printable.

*Vintage Glam Collectibles or Vintage Glam Studio digital resources are for PERSONAL USE ONLY.
*You may not re-sell, redistribute, or claim them as your own.
*Please do not remove the watermark or modify the design in any way.

*Copyright remains with Vintage Glam Studio – Dru Cortez
*If you post this on the internet, please give credit to  Vintage Glam Collectibles & link back to my blog so that others can access the resources.

Details About the images:

*All images are made at 300 dpi so the digital files will usually be very large.  Make sure that your computer or laptop can handle the download.  In the future, I will be placing the images in .zip folders but they will usually still be large files as high res 300 dpi files usually are pretty huge and do not often compress to a smaller size.

*Most images will be .png files (transparent backgrounds) so that you can layer them onto your scrapbooking backgrounds or photos.

*Most elements will not include a drop shadow, as I will leave that up to you to add one if you like.  Drop shadows are usually included in the top layers of layered elements.  However, bottom layer shadows are included only in the preview images.

*I will be providing these elements with the assumption that you know how to use either Photoshop Elements, the open source photo editing program GIMP, Photoshop, or other photo editing software.  While I would like to offer support for these digital files, this is currently just a hobby and not my full time business.

*Most of my elements will be made from purchased commercial use or public domain resources, however if any designer feels their copyright has been infringed upon the freebie will promptly be removed and the freebie will no longer be available.  (I try to be scrupulous about what resources I use, but I may miss some.)
