Well, now we are rolling into the weekend and I wanted to help you out a little with a vintage ephemera printable to jump start your crafting, art journaling, and/or scrapbooking time with today’s freebie download.
I have been wanting to create some tabs and labels with a vintage ephemera look for either scrapbooking, journaling, smashbooks and other paper crafting uses. Today’s freebie was create from a variety of vintage ephemera–postcards, a french dictionary, a music sheet and other sources of vintage paper items scanned at a high dpi. Much like Tim Holtz’ vintage Idea-ology products.
Facts about the Vintage Ephemera Tabs Freebie
As for the details about the freebie, there are 23 elements varying from tabs, inchies, circles and a vintage ephemera butterfly. As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects or other types of memory keeping.
This free printable has 23 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file. Unfortunately, although I tried to keep the file size smaller, this freebie’s file size is really large at approximately 21 MB. These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be clear and sharp.
The materials I used were all vintage ephemera scanned at a very high resolution, so I believe this contributed to the larger file size. Hopefully, you own a modern computer and internet connection that can make the download easier for you. Enjoy!
Thanks for Your Social Media Repins
I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank you’s” and the legitimate “link love”. Thank you for your pins on Pinterest as well as a few Facebook links. I also appreciate mentions in your blogs with appropriate link backs and active links.
My traffic keeps increasing from visitors from all over the world, thank goodness for Google translate! I hope you don’t mind when I check out your Pinterest boards, and repin some of your pins to my boards, these pins usually provide inspiration for new designs of my own!
As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.) If you have been here before, you know the drill. If not, you might want to read the quick TOU below before you access the printable.
How to Use this ” Journal Stickers” Printable:
There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:
1) The easiest way to use this printout is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter, such as the Cricut Explore or Maker you can cut out the bujo planner stickers using their designer software.
( **Please note: You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette. I also have redesigned the template so that the margins are within the “registration” area of your silhouette. You will have to spend some time creating the cutlines for the silhouette but this should make creating the cutfile a lot easier.) I have provided jpegs to resolve this problem.
2) Also another method, would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock or heavy white printer paper depending on how thick you want your sticker and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.
3) Another way, (albeit a little time consuming way) is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting. Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the straight sides of stickers.

Most of my elements are made from Commercial use or public domain sources. However, if any designer feels their copyright has been infringed upon the freebie will promptly be removed and will no longer be available. Designers vary in their restrictions for their terms of use (even for CU items), so although I try to be scrupulous, I may miss some.
