Hello blog followers and visitors!  Just wanted to provide next month’s mini calendars!   Hope you are getting ready for  a great July 4th  weekend for those of us in the US. Have a great weekend for all my other followers and visitors from around the world as well, as we begin a new month.

These gorgeous photographs are from talented photographers who post their photos on Unsplash, one of my favorite freebie  sites for gorgeous, professional  and free pics. The rest of the template design is mine.  This time I chose photos with a “July 4th” theme for the month of July since we are celebrating our nation’s Independence Day and  summer really takes off with this weekend.

These are the size of pocket scrapbooking journaling cards (3″ x 4″) , so they are small enough to pop into your planners, if you like.  I hope you like them!

Mini Calendar Printing Tips

Click on the sample preview picture below for the full resolution  300 ppi image  download.

[For best printing results,  make sure you use a premium 4″ x 6″ photo paper set on Landscape for the best layout and maintain the aspect ratio so that there is no distortion in your printout.]

The finished items should be able to fit your standard  3″ x 4″ pocket scrapbooking pages or traveler’s journal  plastic pocket photo inserts or Becky Higgins project life planner pages.  Just thought I would mention again, since not all blog visitors are familiar with this type of crafting.

These inserts are different from your standard clear pocket and business card inserts for the traveler’s notebook.

Enjoy! 🙂

Patriotic Planner Stickers – Free Printable

This post may contain affiliate links. I may receive a commission, at no cost to you, when you choose to use the links provided. See the Disclosure Policy for more information.

Hello peeps!  Well, the weekend has arrived and we are one week away from the Fourth of July holiday.  In honor of Independence Day, today,  I am releasing a set of patriotic planner stickers– this time  in a super bright red, white and blue color theme.

These planner stickers are specifically designed for fans of the Erin Condren Planner or similar Week At A Glance Planners  or other vertical weekly planners such as the  Plum Paper Planner.  They are sized to fit  within the vertical columns and boxes.

Just so you’ll know , I wanted to let you know  that I have a board on Pinterest  that  you might want to follow that has several pins (ideas) by other planner designers, stationery, home office decor,  office supplies and planner freebies, you can view that here,  Home Office | Planners & Stationery Favs.

There are 50 planner stickers or  elements total in today’s release.  You have  a few  full box stickers, stars, rockets, weekend  banners, header stickers and circle label stickers that should fit within your life planner.     As always, these stickers and elements  can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journals or other types of memory keeping and papercrafting but these were made specifically for you Planner and Filofax fans.

How to Use this “Planner Stickers” Printable:

There are several ways you can use this printable to create your stickers and I have included a few in the following instructions:

1) The easiest way to use this printout  is to print it out on a full sheet of white sticker paper and if you own a Silhouette Cameo or Silhouette Portrait or other digital cutter you can cut out the to-do lists or planner stickers using their designer software. ( **Please note:  You must have the Silhouette Designer Edition software upgrade to open pdfs in your Silhouette. I also have redesigned the template so that the margins are within the “registration” area of your silhouette.   You will have to spend some time creating the cutlines for the silhouette  but this should make creating the cutfile a lot easier.)

2) Also another method,  would be to use heavy bond printer paper or you can use 65 lb. white cardstock depending on how thick you want your sticker  and then place adhesive via a snail tape runner or with a Xyron sticker tool or machine.

3) The most tedious  (or time consuming) way is to print out the planner stickers on sticker paper and “fussy cut” out by hand, I have spaced the elements so that you can use a pair of good craft scissors to get a clean cut and handle the fussy cutting.  Another handy tool to have for the straight cuts is a slide or rotary paper trimmer which will reduce cutting around the stickers.

Facts about the freebie:

  • 50 planner stickers on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.
  • File size – 370 KB
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color.  The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are sometimes distorted.
  • Color scheme:  red, white and blue

As usual these freebies are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)  If you have been here before, you know the drill.  If not, you might want to read the quick  TOU below before you access the printable.

3 Online Sources for Vintage Patriotic Clip Art

vintage george washington patriotic card

What’s almost as hard to find as a needle in a haystack?  While vintage patriotic  or Independence Day clip art, of course.  So,I thought I would share some of the sources I go to in order to grab a few Independence Day related vintage images.

I have narrowed it down to about 3 very good sources of where you can find vintage patriotic images that are at least free for personal use for your vintage crafting, but still may require a little time investment in actually searching through the choices.  In my opinion, they are as follows…

1. Pinterest

Pinterest has become  a large search engine on its own.  With so many links to so many blogs, you can usually find what you are looking for by doing a keyword search to the specific item you are trying to find.

In this case, I used the search terms “vintage patriotic clip art” and you can see the numerous results I was able to obtain.  You will have to check the TOU(terms of use) of the image’s original source post, but I would suggest you do that only for the images you really like and intend to use.

 2. Flickr

The Creative Commons area of Flickr will usually provide you with a good source of vintage images that will usually require attribution if you use the product online and the restrictions  are a little more flexible if you are using the image for personal crafting.  However, the down side is that you will have to do a little more intensive searching on Flickr and come up with variations of search terms such as “july 4th clip art”, “Independence day” etc.

 3. Vintage Image Clip Art Reseller’s

In this case, these are reseller’s of vintage images that the blog owner has collected, compiled and usually has either placed into a download, or a membership site for a small fee.  This option might be good for you , if you want access to several images that you will be using for your various projects and potentially for resale of limited craft items, etc.  However, this will cost you a fee and it usually scales up based on your final end use of the images.   The website I have included below, allows the use of low resolution images with flexible terms of use.  The following is an example of this type of website and links directly to it.

Well, that’s my little round up of a few good sources of vintage patriotic clip art.  Hope you find some great images for your vintage crafting…and have a Happy July 4th holiday!
