Tech Break – Blog Update

Hello blog followers and visitors.  I wanted to get you up to speed with all the  blog changes you are probably seeing on this website.  I have two items I wanted to cover with you and that is changes on my disclosure policy regarding “affiliate ads“.  Since  you have been such great fans of this blog, you have helped this little blog grow to more than 4,000,000+ views since I started self hosting  VintageGlam Studio  in April of 2014.

That kind of traffic has enabled me to land a few opportunities with brands I wouldn’t otherwise have. However, in order to continue bringing you great content that includes craft tools, supplies and wonderful coupons for these products, I need to comply with these brand’s desire for full disclosure to my blog followers and visitors.

So, you will probably be seeing disclosure statements regarding the fact that I might be getting paid when you click through links on my posts.  Although I had many Amazon links in past blog posts they had not been activated due to California online marketing  rules at the time.  That has since changed.

I also wanted to mention that you will probably be seeing a little blog redesign that might make you a little disoriented as to what blog you might be on.  But,  I’m hoping that all these changes will give the site a cleaner, streamlined  look but still provide access to all the freebies and valuable content you have gotten used to.

In any case, I  hope you have a great planning weekend as I type away behind the scenes getting ready for new planner and crafting goodies.

Blog Update – Coffee and Tech Issues

Hello Peeps,

I just wanted to let you know that  I have been on a break due to some major technical issues with my original laptop and also my  backup laptop.  Amazingly, I have fried them both!

And,  while I wait for my new  laptop workhorse (being shipped this week), I have had to take a long coffee break and also have had to hold off on my new designs and additional freebies.  Please bear with this interruption during these mid-summer weeks.

I hope to be back on track within a few days to a week!  Meanwhile,  you can take advantage and  enjoy all the current blog posts and freebies that I have posted to date.    I just wanted to let you all know.  Thanks for your continued support.

Update (7/22/16):  So, my “new” laptop has come in and I am fast and furiously working on downloading , installing, upgrading some of  the software (and freeware) that I use to create my planner printables.

Check out the blog update and greeting Youtube vid below, if you like. ( Hint:  I was testing my screencasting software and sound quality)! So, sorry if you pick up on the semi frustrated tone of my voice ( it’s certainly not aimed at and of by blog peeps and followers)…sometimes the back end tech issues can get so ridiculous and exasperating!

Blog Announcement – Handmade Greeting Cards Now on my Etsy Store

Hello blog visitors and followers.   Well, I imagine you are busy with all you last minute shopping, wrapping, crafting and all the last minute activities that can occupy your time in this holiday season.

I just wanted to share that I am beginning to post tangible papercraft products in my Etsy Store apart from the digital graphics.  As we ahead into the new year,( imagine 2015 already?),  I will be posting additional papercraft products handmade  by moi!

I wanted to show you the detail on some of the recent limited greeting cards that I created and made available for sale on Etsy.

Greeting Card #1

I had holiday baking in mind when I created this card.  I loaded it with a lot of embellishments including a clothespin, handcrafted flair and silhouette diecuts as well as a diecut banner made with my Sissix machine.

Greeting Card #2

I was thinking “vintage” with this card and wanted it decorated with snow mittens and a lot of feminine details, such as stitched scalloped borders.  I even added the vintage  sentiment because I thought it was so cute and  of course, for more bling… pink glitter snowflakes and rhinestones.

Greeting Card #3

I was thinking of a “blue Christmas” with this card.  I love all the light blue elements and especially enjoyed creating the woodgrain background for the card.

Greeting Card #4

Now what is Christmas crafting without a little gold and another favorite woodland animal…a deer.  This card was so fun to craft.  I added a lot of details including an embossed piece and white ink stamped piece of acetate to simulate viewing the snow through a window.

Greeting Card #5

This card was so much fun to handcraft.  I used premade Jolee’s Boutique embellishments and placed it on an embossed backing designed by Anna Griffin.  A little more formal.  (This card is no longer available on Etsy and has been sold.)

Well, that’s the round up of cards I handcrafted and actually have made available on my Etsy Store.  You will be seeing more papercraft items in the future as I coordinate my time for these handcrafted items.    I hope you like my creations! 🙂

Don’t forget to follow me on the Social Media hangout of your choice and on my email subscription if you would like to receive my blog posts the day they are published. Thanks!

Holiday Crafting – Blog Update!

Hello Peeps…Just wanted to give you an update on what’s going on behind the scenes for the holidays here at VintageglamStudio.  I have been doing a little retooling of my activities and boosting a presence in other  Social Media locations…such as Google+, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.  I sure would like to welcome all the new visitors coming from Pinterest!

In addition, I am also actually spending most of my holiday  crafting time not only designing but actually creating in hardcopy most of the freebie printables I do design.  The image below has a sample of several of the products I have created and crafted.  Some of these holiday items,  I will soon be making available at my Etsy Store.

So, all to say, I am still here and will continue posting freebies in the near future, but currently  (or at least this week) I have been busy creating hard copy items to either post on social media or some hard copy items to feature in my Etsy Store.  Stay tuned for more freebies that I will be posting!

Thanks for everyone that is stopping by to visit and I encourage you to subscribe  to my blog if you would like to receive the freebie  goodies and news I do post when I am on a regular schedule.

Holiday Season Has Begun!…

Christmas, holiday season, rooftop

Well, Thanksgiving came and went, and  I hope it was pleasant and you enjoyed your time with family and friends.  I know I did.  To celebrate the official opening of the Christmas holiday season’s transition, I am dressing up the blog with a little falling snow!

You will rarely see snow in Southern California, so I couldn’t resist the virtual snow for the holiday  season.   I’d also like to thank all my  blog visitors and followers, you made November a record month with all your visits, pins and repins.  Sure, do appreciate the blog and link love! 🙂

The following is a great snow falling video (in case you are in a hot locale like myself) of how beautiful snow looks when it is falling.  The scene almost matches my header pic and that’s so cool.
