Free Printable Label – Retro Kitchen Labels

retro, kitchen labels, red, aqua

I’m sure the weekend is going to be a busy one, but nevertheless I came up with this design for today.  I really should stay away from Pinterest,  just when I think I am plum out of  ideas for the week …there you go, I get a new idea!   I must be thinking about food gifts, or the board I have specifically for food packaging  called DIY Crafts | Food Gifts and Packaging on Pinterest.  I changed the color scheme for this design to a vibrant turquoise and red!

As for the details about today’s freebie,  you get 8 retro kitchen labels at (3″ x2″)  .  I designed the freebie with a retro feel.  Also, there is  plenty of room for you to get in and around the labels to cut them out .  I think some rounded edges on these might look great.

Facts about the freebie:

  •  8 kitchen labels on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.
  • File size is 3.64 MB.
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp with a smooth lay down of the ink color.  The preview pictures both on the blog and on Google are at 72 dpi, so you often can not see all the detail accurately or colors are often distorted.
  • Color scheme:  turquoise, red

My expression of gratitude for all your Pinterest and other social media pins…

I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank yous” and the legitimate “link love”. I just would love it if you check out my Instagram and follow or like the pics.

Thank you for your pins on Pinterest as well as Facebook links.  I also appreciate mentions in your blogs with appropriate link backs and active links.  Many of you have been kind enough to feature some of my designs on your blogs and that has contributed to the increased traffic.

I hope you don’t mind when I check out your Pinterest boards, and repin some of your pins to some of my Pinterest boards, these pins usually provide inspiration for new designs of my own!  You guys and gals often find things I don’t often run into and it just serves to expand and generate new ideas.

Here’s a sample of the labels.  They were printed out on plain, white card stock with  an Epson Artisan 810 printer.  I rounded the corners as well.

Free Printable Download – Farm Themed Kitchen Printables

Farm-kitchen-printables-header

As we roll into the weekend, I just wanted to provide you with a couple of freebie printables that will help you with your kitchen organization.  Of course, these had to be black, white red and cream with a little vintage image and french farmhouse theme thrown in

For the shopping list header, I used a background that was a great find on the Old Design Shop‘s great site (a great resource for vintage images), where I found a vintage farm almanac page from the turn of the century.  A similar image that I had used for the farm tags I created a week or two ago. I added the images of the chickens and the title.  The red labels are simply designed and a little larger than spice labels. The red kitchen labels are approximately 2 1/4″ in diameter.

These printables are kitchen themed and designed for your kitchen organization.  Enjoy!

Facts about the freebie:

  • 4 Shopping Lists – 7 3/4″ by 2 1/2″  on 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.
  • The file size is 3.39 MB.
  • These elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp. (The preview pictures on the blog and at Google are at 72 dpi.)
  • Printing tip:   If you are going to use  regular printer paper, adjust the saturation of your printout.  I would advise that you print on heavy white cardstock, plain or matte or sticker paper if you would like to use the circles as labels.
  • Color scheme: red, cream, black, white

Free Printable Download – Country Shabby Rose Tags

Country-shabby-rose-headerWell, it’s that time again…time for a new freebie and hopefully you will find this one to your liking.  I’d like to  welcome all my new blog followers (and blog visitors) and  thank you for your  permission to send you an email of all this blog’s goodies.   Yes, I am back to a shabby chic color scheme and hopefully, this time with a new variation.  I’d also like to add that I am getting the knack of designing digital paper (the rose pattern paper was designed by me) using a variety of commercial use elements.  So, that’s a new skill that I am slowly acquiring that is resulting in a lot more unique digital paper designs, at least that can be attributed to me.

A Few Words About this Freebie’s Inspiration…

This story may sound familiar, but as I have mentioned in several of my posts that I will visit your “pins” and your boards (when I can carve out the time), and I am usually glad that I do because I often get to see loads of great “pins” that just inspire me to improve my skills and find inspiration for more creative ideas.

Well, in a previous search on Flickr and Pinterest, I found a picture/flyer image of farms in the early 1900s and I just loved it.  I have been trying to find free vintage farm ephemera and the search has been difficult, even paid digital farm ephemera is difficult to find (at least those available for commercial use), but I did find a few images to include in this  freebie “idea” that I have been working on for a few months now,  ever since I had  last posted my chicken graphic.

So, to make a long story short, that inspired me to create these  shabby rose tags that hopefully reflect shabby chic with a vintage country theme. Tags that will be suitable  for journaling, digital scrapbooking, gift tags,  hybrid scrapbooking and other uses.    If you can spare the time, please leave me a comment if you like the vintage  “farm ephemera” look, your feedback is appreciated.

I have posted in several of my posts that I will visit your “pins” and your boards, and I am usually glad that I do because I often get to see loads of great “pins” that just inspire me to improve my skills and delve into more creative ideas.  Well, it was in one of those searches that I came upon the following pinner  and I just about fell over at all the eye candy of her beautiful boards.

I was so jazzed by what I saw…so…straightaway, I had to check out her “Tea in Paris”, “Tea with Jane Austen” and “Tea with Marie Antoinette” boards and I would have to gush just to describe all  the absolute beautiful and tasty things pinned there.  Jane Austen, tea, macaroons, Paris, roses, Shabby Chic everywhere you look…literal eye candy… in several pics and I had to keep pulling myself away to get back to work.

The following pic is just a sampling of her 208 boards! Clicking on the picture will take you directly to her boards if you are interested.

country-kitchen-labels-header1Hi, I hope you had a nice weekend!  Yes, it’s officially now fall and so, I decided to design some journaling elements that reflect the warm, autumn colors that are probably surrounding you when you venture outdoors.   I thought a freebie that had a warm “Country Kitchen”  color scheme as you see in the picture below might add a welcome change to the customary pinks, blues and similar colors in some of my other freebies.

But, it was difficult coming up with some ideas until I started thinking about one of my favorite desserts during this season…pumpkin pie.  Yum, Yum, Yum!  So, that’s how I came up with the kitchen theme.  This freebie has my version of vintagey distressed backgrounds, a few tags, and circle labels.  Also, I found some great vintage images of 1920s or so fashionable ladies whose fashions might have been advertised in the Ladies’ Home Journal.  I’m not sure, but their dresses coordinated great with the backgrounds I used for this freebie!

Road Through Forest

As for the details about the freebie, there are 20 elements varying from 3″ x 2″ labels, tags, circle labels and gingham style banners.  As always, they can either be used for journaling in your project life projects, smashbooks, art journaling or other types of memory keeping.

This free printable has 20 elements on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.  This freebie’s file size is  a little large at approximately 6.35 MB.  The elements were created at 300 dpi, so your printing results should be very clear and sharp.  Do keep in mind though that I did distress the labels, so you will see that effect in your printout.

I’d like to say thanks to all those taking the time to comment, I sure appreciate the gracious “thank yous” and the legitimate “link love”.  Thank you for your pins on Pinterest as well as a few Facebook links.  I also appreciate mentions in your blogs with appropriate link backs and active links.   I hope you don’t mind when I check out your Pinterest boards, and repin some of your pins to my Pinterest boards, these pins usually provide inspiration for future new designs of my own!

Hi, hope you are starting the weekend rested and ready for a new freebie! This is a follow-up freebie to my Mother’s Day journaling elements download. Well,  at least the digital paper set that I purchased and originally used for my project life freebie.   This time, although I used the same colors (basically  a color palette of teal  and pink colors and of course, shabby chic floral patterns as before) I wanted some shabby chic teacup elements.

I guess these are shapes you can use for journaling, smashbooks as well as scrapbooking. It seems many of you find different uses than what I might have originally designed them for; however, that’s okay with me.  Just hoping that you are enjoying them.  I added the links below of other journaling freebies that match this digital paper set and color scheme below.

  • The freebie is an 8 1/2″ by 11″ pdf file.
  • The file size is about 5.96 MB.
  • There are 21 elements of various shapes and sizes, plus a few French word art ticket stubs.

As usual these are free for personal use, (check my TOU if you haven’t previously.)

Here’s one crafter at work using some of my freebie elements “Shabby Chic Teacups” and “Shabby Chic Banners” both listed below.  What a great use, I love large clothespins!  Check out the first few minutes of the vid to see how she utilized these freebie journaling elements and materials from other designers to make this great altered peg .  Goes to show you the variety of uses you apply with these freebies.
